  1. Nope - That was Sliding Performance. Slide Industries sell pretty much China copy stuff. Thier "GT35" turbos are NOT Garrett for instance, despite using the same part name etc. Another brand to have a look at is Shockworks. They are made O/S, like everything else, but are designed here and you get local support/warranty of the product rather than dealing with a 3rd party. Import Monster have been doing a lot of work with them - And are a SAU Trader - So that's always helpful

Yeah but Simon's point more revolves around the fact of someone not having a sensor and so on - which comes back to a lot of other posts in this thread that are quite clear If the tune is done safely for a street car, the variation from E70 ro E85 has no bearing. Whilst this thread is a good idea - as long as the tune is OK - It's a non-issue
  5. Have a chat with Aaron from Import Monster or Kristian from Iron Chef - you simply cannot go wrong with these blokes and they have the best rep in the community
  6. Look put it this way. For 220rwkw... You need the following: Fuel pump ECU / Tune Bigger turbo (High-Flow of stock turbo) Full exhaust - 3" It's advisable to have: FMIC It would be good if you also had, but are "Not Required": Injectors Z32 AFM ALL of the above is legal except the ECU (and the "Not Required" parts)... so if you get caught it's a 5min change over fix to get cleared. For a 3" exhaust to be legal is possibly one of the easiest things in the world. A nice 4" CAT and two of the biggest straight through 3" mufflers you can fit - and voila, you have a legal exhaust that also has good performance up to around 250rwkw. Job done. Now if you put Injectors / Z32 AFM later on (assuming you have the FMIC)... Then you can have 250rwkw no problem... You'll obviously have a few more parts that are defectable and need swapping back IF you are caught, which with a proper 3" exhaust, is unlikely. Of course don't forget things like better brakes (new rotors/pads/fluid), as more power means better stopping is needed and a Stagea does carry some weight. If it's auto then 250rwkw will be ok for a time, but like most things, depends on what condition it's in before you go looking for the power as to how long it holds together. Don't worry about all this Varex, opening RPM and so on. Build the exhaust once from the start and be done with it.

Be mindful that anything you post is only ever one side. Agree with it or not, that's how SAU is and needs to be to survive and keep the legal bills to a minimum around here

Next week - been under the hammer, busier than expected in the shop (which is a good thing) Same here - I'm claming servicing and all sorts given the car is used for mostly work related purpose. My GTR - 30k - outright, and then the 20k in 12 months on it. Ok the commo was around half that but the money went elsewhere etc. Yeah totally agree, most of them probably do not - but again it comes down to choice. Do you "need" or "want" to own a late model car off the showroom like most, or simply buy one thats 3-4 years old with service history? lol... you took the bait a bit easy there. Same boat for me, been outta home since 18 and worked for every cent, never been given a penny... although none to be given so kinda sorts itself out. I get a LOT of younger generation working in the shop, the work ethic across the board is far below that of the people 25+. They just don't want to work hard at all, think it's literally a free ride, amazes me really
  14. 43psi is only at idle though, once you take into account 20psi and the reg now sitting at 63psi (give/take) - works out ok?
  15. I don't agree they are "rubbish" when other people have not had any issues at all and they are making the same if not more power. Not turning into a shit fight, just totally disagree with the statement made.

  20. Not everyone is paying off a car... I've never owed money on any car I've owned, same with a lot of friends even back to when we got outta high school! We all worked / purchased outright. $650/month paying off a depreciating asset is a f**ken lotta money
