Changing Gtr Rear Diff Ratios
R31Nismoid replied to chaos_GTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The shafts you don't need if you have the linkage between... I forget the technical term, it's a separate part. The shafts are actually the same once outsite the connecting bit (IIRC) -
lol how long ago was that? I would think these days she'll be a tad different... The whole Navy has changed... She ain't what she used to be hhaha.

Getting Engine Mounts Out Off R32Gtr
R31Nismoid replied to SIR-JD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Does not sound right at all. You can remove the engine with turbos attached 100% In fact rather than change turbos in the engine bay, a lot of people simply pull the motor out and then do it. -
Changing Gtr Rear Diff Ratios
R31Nismoid replied to chaos_GTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Correct Although it's more then point that Nismo do not make a GT Pro to fit a Vspec A-LSD... So it requires a swap out with a non-Vspec. At least that's with a R33. -
Exhaust Advice - R32 Gtr - Twins
R31Nismoid replied to sultanaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
How dare you bring logic into this discussion you heathen! -
Totally depends on the state in which you come from. Every state has its own laws so as such, you'll need to research and find out what is the best approach for the governing law, as different things are OK in some places where others are not. This dictates how viable each path is.

350rwkw for $7,000 is simply - not possible, especially when: - Turbos - ECU / Tune - Injectors - Labour Which will total around $6500 on their own. The rest of your parts list would put you over $20,000... If you did 10mins of homework Please use the search function to do some proper research.

Exhaust Advice - R32 Gtr - Twins
R31Nismoid replied to sultanaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That's not what i said at all. What i said is - on the topic at hand - 330rwkw/GT-SS/PULP - there was no discernible difference. I also said i did not lose any bottom end. Which you conveniently ignored for some reason. E85 you might need to go larger, you might not, but you've gotta weigh up the costs to justify and for most - it wouldn't be viable over the setup the OP already has unless he was chasing every last iota of it (but then doing cams & head gasket was kinda a non-required spend already, so guessing money to burn there) -
Exhaust Advice - R32 Gtr - Twins
R31Nismoid replied to sultanaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had stock dumps, put on Tomei dumps - no difference, only change was exhaust and a lighter bank balance. There was no bottom end loss, no top end gain (PULP/340rwkw). Only difference here is E85 - would potentially offer benefit, necessity? Certainly not. -
I started a Skyline related topic in this section... But Mods/Admins have locked it... Why? The reason is simple - This is for General Automotive discussion. Things that are going on in the world of motoring, not Skyline/Stagea/Silvia specific etc. This is not a section to ask about: - Why my R33 does not start - Where do I find the battery - What mods are best for my skyline etc etc. So if your thread has been locked - try starting it in the appropriate section, rather than just posting it any old where... And hoping for the best. Posting in the correct section will not only give you better results and a quicker answer, it will also mean your thread stays open

How To Get 300 To 350Kw Out Of An Rb26
R31Nismoid replied to jimmy01's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further. -
Don't think I've seen a more blatant advertising attempt in 10 years on here... If you wish to trade/promote/drum up sales across SAU's 75,000 odd user base, then you are required to become a paying trader like everyone else. Further information can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/

Fact is - it's not. Once it's on boost (4500rpm or so), the ONLY reason it rips through the gears, is because the diff ratios were changed. Can't believe the last 6 pages, talk about rubbish...

You make 20psi daily driving? Daily driving my GTR - wouldn't be seeing over 4,000rpm a hell of a lot... And 20psi on -5s isnt going to be in before then... Add cams in and it's only going to be doughier down low (25000-4000), making it even worse to daily. Anyway said it plenty of times. Had -9s, had -5s... For a street driver and some hills, I'd never got -5s again.

Damaged Head, Can This Be Fixed
R31Nismoid replied to Simon-S14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wasn't the belt coming loose or something? Although when that happens, usually related to a tensioner wasn't replaced properly/at all, it'll take a few more valves with it or even snap them completely. Certainly got away with it pretty well -
You do now, i made a boo-boo

Here is something I prepared earlier. I couldn't help but shake my head for a long, long time...

What Intank Pump Will Deliver The Most Flow? Nismo?
R31Nismoid replied to Marko R1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
They are rated @ 450lph @ 0-30psi... A stock RB fuel rail runs a higher base pressure than that Once you get them to 60-70psi (which is what most people will be running), the flow drops to under 400lph, maybe even 360lph - I saw the rating graph from Walbro 450l a few weeks back but for the life of me i can't find it right now. Gotta love the online retailers at the moment claiming they will support "900hp on a turbo set-up", maybe if you used two they would. -
