  1. Read the rules before posting. Locked.
  2. SAU's position is pretty clear on this one: Posting the Japanese Auction sheets, if they can be clearly/undeniably linked to cars for sale here in AUS and clearly demonstrate the things I have in my first post surrounding false claims, altered ODO's and similar. You'll have our blessing to do so as long as it's factual and not attacking/slander, that's the key. I get quite a number of people across the industry PM'ing me about various things like this, i'll gladly continue to post them up and be the "voice" so to speak as people and businesses need to know that this type of shit is simply unacceptable. Power to the Internet!
  3. Edited and closed. If you wish to sell yours goods on here, you are required to become a paying trader just like the other 25+ businesses that support the community. More information can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/
  4. lol ask Spew-bucket about how Victorians drive when on NSW soil
  5. Posts removed. As you are a business, you are required to become a paying trader just like everyone else: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/
  6. No - It does not. Import duty and GST are not calculated until the goods hit our shore in almost every case, and i highly doubt JUN JPN is going to be paying the duty under account like a Aussie Importer would. So the landed price is not $3,000 at all. Before starting a GB, ensure you actually know what the end cost is as this would've pretty much been $3,400 landed - So the price is actually no better at all for a set of Garrett -9 turbos.
  7. RB26 turbos are not sequential, so no, you cannot "mix-&-match"
  8. Closed. Wrecking over 10 cars sounds is a business or a serious backyard operation. If you wish to trade here on SAU you are required to become paying trader just like everyone else. More details can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ This does not mean you continue sales via PM.
  9. Closed. Sounds pretty much like a trader, or a backyard operation not far off that. Having a quick look at the PM volume and the types of discussion - this also backs it up. If you wish to trade here in volume on SAU - you are required to become a paying trader just like everyone else. More information can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ And this does not mean continue to use the PM function.
  10. Quite often the full story never comes out in the first couple of posts with this type of thing, hence asking for more detail - and if that is all there is... $7,000 is way over priced.
  11. Yeah for sure. Peak power though, which is the question asked - no difference really to be had
  12. This. The -7s and -9s by 7500rpm are falling off and simply out of airflow, so you can't screw more boost in if they simply cannot supply the air needed. Joy of having them come on so early, can't have it all! You can make near enough the same on 98 as you can on E85 with -9s IMO, hence my earlier comment stands... Add to the fact there is not one person who's ever made legitimately more than that
  13. A setup properly ... Setup... There should be no creep at all.
  14. Yep. Soon as I saw "head work" - I wasn't surprised... Need far more details surrounding it. If they are totally rebuilding the head and not just giving it a clean up - then 7k for the lot and leaving the bottom end assembly, IMO, is actually reasonable Either way far more detail required.
  15. 330-350rwkw IMO.
  16. Oh wow - Missed the first post where it said Slide GT35r... Ugh... Even less responsive than a proper Garrett GT35... Imitations like that are misleading unfortunately, they are NOT a genuine Garrett item. I think you'll struggle to get close to 400rwkw, even 350rwkw might be a stretch. Also those China stainless manifolds - over time, tend to crack. Another issue to factor into the overall scheme as it's added cost to fix it all etc etc. Poor man pays twice type scenario where if you purchased a decent one to start, you'd end up in front in the long run. I've not been posting a lot lately - But I have been following it
  17. They are just Chinese copies... So why bother? If you are on a budget - Hypergear or Kando. If you want better performance then the Garretts and more recently the HTA/FP items are becoming quite popular now results are coming out
  18. Sticky thread in this section - Change Name thread
  19. Result will be the same as any other GT35 setup really, it's the turbo that will dictate the power as long as the exhaust can flow. Things like a fuel rail, FPR - don't give power, in fact they don't even offer much of anything. On a stock motor, overall, risky business pushing towards 400rwkw Also you might find the clutch wont last too long as something else to budget for.
  20. GB thread rules are pretty clear. This one is missing information - please update in the thread who is supplying and other missing information or this will be closed.
  21. Closed. Clearly a trader ad. As with all traders. If you wish to advertise, you are required to pay. Further information can be found here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/
  22. Closed. GB section rules are pretty clear on what you need to do, before posting. By not doing it - it just results in "how much" etc etc. So please follow the rules and start another thread with ALL the required information covered off.
  23. To be honest, you really wont. Well people have made 300rwkw-320rwkw using Garrett-IW turbos (IW = internal wastegate) Not the most ideal setup, but certainly the most cost efficient if you are dead set on a number... So i must say... Lose the 300rwkw "I must have it" in your brain, settle for 270-280rwkw and just get a bolt-on hi-flow, stay totally safe from Police and look factory. Win-Win IMO Otherwise you'll be spending upwards of $2000 more and I tell you now, for the extra 20rwkw - you won't really notice it/justify the cost. The way i see it - either go for 350rwkw and justify the $2000+ spent or settle for 280rwkw. Plus there is everything from brakes, clutch, diff, exhaust etc etc that needs attention and I can say with certainty, you've not really touched those areas
