  1. Me either - working 100% fine here. Jump to page in SAU-Vic members area, works fine in 3 threads i tested
  2. Plenty of results in the Dyno Sticky/Results thread. Please go have a look.
  3. +1
  4. You wanted a food daily driver that could be used for drift etc... this was 2 days ago. Now you want to use a turbo capable of 440rwkw that requires a good 25,000 to support it. Two ends of the scale dude - pick one.
  5. R33/32 GTR N1 Turbos ARE LAGGY. To say they are not shows that it is you who knows not what he is talking about. They are effectively a 20yr old design now. R34 N1 carry the updated wheels, and cartridge from Garrett that was done for the R34 only. No tuner can magically make old technology as good as new technology. There are a few results inthe dyno thread of the older ones, andusers have posted plenty about that fact for a long time given some people must use them due to racing class restriction.
  6. no flex is always a problem as its not absorbing movement of the motor and exhaust. this can lead to cracked manifolds over time due to weight/heat. as for tuning, as above, no point even if you had a ECU to be honest. not enough of a change to warrant the expense really.
  7. the old search worked fine, on old forum. new search only back to mid Dec as its not indexed. Christian is aware, but once again i seem to need to remind people the time of year it is. I for one, am on holidays.
  8. Trent i think posted up about the difference in the sensor when using a Gizzmo gasket. Now if there is a good 10-15 degree difference just by insulating the plenum, then IMO the lower temp is then the more-so accurate one.
  9. The sensor is affected by the heat of the plenum, not the air. You need to use a Gizzmo Gasket, or move the sensor to get an accurate reading.
  10. Sometimes, as in how many times have it been used/not worked on this forum? Link to the times. IF you can show me it 5 times i'll remove it. Fact is, it rarely - rarely - gets used in that fashion on this board.
  11. For a modded GTR, most of them need a tri-pass rad though to stay cool. Especially 34's it seems. Snowy was having issues in the Vic climate with various radiators, put the PWR tri-pass in, temps under control. This is strictly circuit though, not street so a bit off the point but its not just about airflow
  12. Of course a good driver will out brake ABS, I've seen it many times myself - but can you say that in every situation? Unless you are epically well trained, you will jump on the anchors if say, a roo, jumped out in front of ya And even with ABS on, if yuo out-brake it, then sweet. If not, then it's there to lend a hand
  13. Carbon hood, illegal far as I am aware. Waste of time trying to get a VASS. I cant remember their name at present - just google or VicRoads website. There is only one mob in Braeside
  14. Oh come on you already knew they could EG 1. The old cooler hole in the engine bay on a Airbag equipped car. Police have been citing cars for YEARS over that issue. And honestly - how else would you get pinned for it? 99.9% of people are not going to own up to a modification that requires a VASS like that. EG 2. People also do illegal engine swaps. More common than you might think, and again well illegal in many ways in accordance with current laws. Whilst one may not agree, one must agree there is method and purpose to it. Also ANY officer can defect ANY car. You just have to know what the LAW is. It's not about who can/can not defect a car. If a run of the mill officer in a Divvy van knew the law, they are well within their rights to defect you and cite a VASS cert.
  15. Totally agree Hopefully they gain a lot of ground in NSW, although something like this would undoubtedly work better in Vic given we get raped compared to the NSW people.
  16. 3076, wrong turbo choice for a start. Also $1100 - is this turbo new of a 2nd hand item? Forget the AVO housing as well, get a proper Garrett housing.
  17. The only time it gets used "correctly" seems to be in the Wasteland when boz talks about animal fetish and similar things But as its an automotive forum, plenty come to rant about "the cops", you just never realise as its autochanged Its a good filter, rarely is anyone talking about a "pig" in the animal sense
  18. It's in NSW.... This it? http://au.tv.yahoo.com/sunrise/video/-/watch/23661319/ Interesting, yet typically pathetic title. "Backing burnouts and speeding New party supports higher speed limits." Also typically that they barely show his face talking like most interviews would. And instead have people illegally misbehaving... Sad.
  19. Of course they do - who else would have you do it? They've been doing it for years now
  20. MORE DETAIL REQUIRED!
  21. Every VASS signatory is strict mate - it's their job to be, and it hinges upon their license. I've found no VASS engineer any more lenient than another, just the prices are difference. There is a VASS in Braeside that i used, and a couple of friends have. They are one of the more reasonably priced @ around $600 incl brake test. Their details can be found on the VicRoads website.
  22. My ABS worked reasonably well @ DECA and with semi's on Its always a fine line anyway between braking on slippery surfaces
  23. I'd say that will come down to installation issues. The turbotech simply be design, is better.
  24. I'd be surprised if you can find anyone to tune the F-Con, major issue is there is less than 1 per state.
  25. my GTSR does the same. factory thermo, never gets above 72 on a 25 degree day unless I'm absolutely up it for 5-10mins. on sub 25 its 69-70 average. so definitely possible. that's using a race radiators item, stock clutch fan/shroud
