  1. +1 and by the time you get them flow tested m, check spray patterns etc, you could have just purchased a new set anyway.
  2. Well they are on a 4ltr lol, that's s fair increase[ over a 3. ah yr, missed that. either way even with a 3ltr its not going to come easy. the only way would perhaps be some hybrid turbo, and we all know the lucky dip that goes there.
  3. problem is a GTX35 will be laggy as well. it might make the power but it isn't going to feel crisp at all. it will drive very lazy. that's the problem with small displacement though really. i doubt there is any normal turbo that can achieve such an aim on a 2.5L
  4. 300-320 is not safe, it's on borrowed time. 270-280 is a much more reasonable target for long life. Anyone can make power, it's getting it to hold together that's the issue. Just look @ Hamish as an example. His motor lasted what, 2-3 yrs @ ~300kw Fact is no stock motor is going to last forever @ double its factory output. People need to start accepting this.
  5. Same as these which are new? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-R33-GTR-320KM-NISMO-INSTRUMENT-CLUSTER-/200529205489?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb078d8f1
  6. Use the SINGLE For Sale thread, or the correct FS section. No singular threads in random sections.
  7. ^^ lol They've given nothing but an email address as a contact, sounds very legit...
  8. Why don't you just buy ID1000's locally like everyone else? By the time you factory in postage and wait time etc, they will work out almost the same if not cheaper
  9. GTR cooler cores do not have a major drop at all though... I believe its around 1-1.5psi which @ 20-24psi which is acceptable and comparable to most cores around that marker. Intake temps though I'm not 100% sure on, someone else might have such data - if they do so it'd be very interesting to see it. Arguable point i guess, depends on ones budget and if there is data to backup the expense other than placebo. Also the hard piping kit... Whats the reasoning? If you are keeping the intake and TT pipe - then a hard pipe kit is only then replacing a few pieces which are already internally the same diameter and not that much different. Add to the fact you do need some hose in places to absorb movement. It's also known that going to a full hard kit tends to induce comp surge on larger twins as the rubber piping does flex a bit and this absorbs the reverb. It'll be interesting to see comparative stuff when Paul get back down to Uni with the different manifolds on there. Any difference in that area should show itself on a dyno.
  10. They are some hybrid, not sure on the specs. I forgot to get the graph... but I'm going out there on Sat so ill get it then in 5th under load, there is at least 4-5psi on @ 2400rpm 4th is around 3000-3200. Steve's seen it (im also gonna get a -9 graph of another mates car and overlap)
  11. Unless I'm recalling this very badly from when i did mine... the loom goes from ECU plug to where you plug in the coil pack loom. My one from Nissan came as one complete part. The body loom should be plug and play as the GTR loom was almost perfectly plug/play into my HR31. So assumption is GTR to GTR would be identical? I'm only saying what i am as he wants to use 34ecu and loom, so its literally a swap in/swap out job. take a couple hours at best.
  12. Links for what mate? You simply use the entire R34 GTR ignition system. coil/CAS to loom to ECU. If you need further information above that then your going to struggle to do a conversion at all! Pull it out of one, put it into the other. you have a front cut so it's all there!
  13. Engine bay mate. Coils/wiring to ECU, CAS etc. R34 GTR setup is not the same.
  14. And yes, this is the same as general meetings - open event. However for Membership applications, its preferred you use EFT rather than cash, and use the online webform. It's much much easier for us to administer that way. There is nothing wrong with NAB EFT. It's not risker today, than any other bank
  15. Ah f**k - next Tues Usual General meeting (3rd Tues of Every month) Date updated!
  16. Hi all. Jan General Meeting is going to be run as a cruise as there is not a lot to talk about specifically at this time. So give your ride a wash and a polish and lets go for a nice summer evening drive and take a few pictures of the cars and so on. When: Tues 18th, Jan Meet Point: Aughtie Drive - Albert Park. In the Car Park near the Sth Melb soccer club Time: Meet 7:30, Depart 8:00pm Where are we going? Tis a secret!!! Other Information: Ensure you have a full tank of fuel. This isn’t a super long cruise. However it’s never cool to run out of fuel See you all then.
  17. Yes, look @ dyno results thread. Enough builds there to cover those questions. PLENTY of cars over 300rwkw/400rwhp (~500hp) using factory plenum.
  18. How long is a piece of string? I've seen some last 4 months @ 330rwkw, I've seen some last 3 years @ 360rwkw. There is NO set figure.
  19. Well it sucks yes, but these are the hidden costs/maintenance that people don't think exists. ALL cars cost money to run and its not just petrol and general servicing. Plus they are 15yrs old. I'm not at all surprised that stuff is on the list. The RWC for the GTR i recently purchased was 4 figures as well without a worry.
  20. If you use 34 ECU/loom you wont have a problem you also need to use R34 ignition setup however. Wont work otherwise
  21. Windscreen's are cheaper than $250, im sure of it. I'll find out how much my HR31 was recently, and the GTR. I dont rememeber em being too much. Either way, that list, workshop doing it $600 at least
  22. Might have to be next Thurs @ this rate - only half the kents from the last thread have voted
  23. Or a MPH?
  24. well 8psi of boost doesn't net you over 140rwkw, so 458 sounds wrong. there are explicitly few cars who've made over 420rwkw with that sized turbo, and we are talking full house workshop cars. Your build is nothing close to those. so another flag post for the '458' result.
