  1. There are a few DIY's around in the DIY area mate.
  2. Yes pics please - there are a lot of copy Takata harnesses getting around of late that are not approved, and not upto spec. Not saying these are, however for such an idea you don't want a copy
  3. Cheap & best do not go in the same sentence when you are talking about GTR's, rebuilds or otherwise. If you cut corners, you will get burnt. For a rebuild you are looking @ between 7-10k drive in/out, as realistically you won't be doing any of the work yourself. That does not include things like turbos, ECU, injectors, AFM's, exhaust, clutch and everything else. Same as every other thread... Two simple things. 1. What is the budget? 2. If you cannot afford the rebuild, then don't modify it over and above common/accepted limits. You are playing with a motor that is almost 20yrs old. Ask much of it, it will give you much grief back
  4. Yeah most of the time if you want a 3" front it's gotta be custom. equally as rare to find them off shelf. ideally though you need at least 3.5", preferrably 4" anyway dude in terms of exhaust - time to do it all at once
  5. I meant well priced lol Rarely is nengun cheap these days it seems
  6. How much/where from? Very rare to find such big dumps these days, most are all but discontinued!
  7. Nothing I haven't told him on 3 occasions now since Aug 2010, even earlier it think. So basically what you are telling us is that 6 months down the track. You haven't taken it to the track yet? Or back to Racepace? Or anything? MPH would soon tell the story. Taking it back to Racepace would as well. So how about you stop complaining and go and get it looked at? I know if I felt as strongly as you come across, then I'd have taken the car back there in a week. Not 6 months.
  8. You mean you'll get 10k if you are lucky, and then guy a 14k GTR that's totally clapped out
  9. Thread locked. If you wish to Trade here on SAU, you are required to pay to become a trader just like anyone else. Further info: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ This goes for selling, or trolling WTB/Using the PM system to make sales. Nothing is allowed without paying. Thanks. Admin
  10. Buy a RB25 or a bigger turbo. Simple really
  11. Doesn't mean they won't stop you and hand a nice defect out to a noisy import. Same as going through a booze bus. They are there to test people for drinking, yet somehow there is always one that wants to have a 'discussion' and license check for no reason.
  12. So you are going in without a lawyer? If you are, best you can do is really just explain it. Don't harp on too long, stick to the fact/point and keep it succinct. Also some people tend to say they are “sorry” 100 times over – just think of it as what would you want to hear? Some grovelling sook that makes no sense or someone that clearly acknowledges they were in the wrong, takes responsibility and explains the situation etc. I’ve beaten many charges in court, and lost a few as well. I even had a Judge make comment about the fact that he had not seen such a trivial incident & Police were wasting court time with a particular charge - thus gave me a slap on the wrist. But by and large if you rock up well dressed and well spoken, you’ve already gone a long way in the court system over and above the “norm”. They would see 5x repeat offenders both speeding and drugged with stolen goods in the car. Some KM’s over is probably the most insignificant thing they will see that day.
  13. better ensure you keep ya hands on then!
  14. T51, E85, you are talking about 500rwkw+ setup here. If its 400rwkw then that's much cheaper, easier and perhaps only partly unrealistic. i mean first off the car is RWD on the street, and let's be realistic here, that's a limiting factor there. 400rwkw is going to be unusable. Even at 150km/h you are going to turn tyres on boost.Any RWD car will do that. and let's be even more realistic, this isn't germany and we don't have autobarns. I can't even think of a road here in Victoria that would let you do 300km/h without throwing you off the road. I think you need to sit back and look at this properly, rather than a friday day dream. A 300-350rwkw RWD car will be faster than a 400+ on the street for one simple reson. Traction.
  15. Ok Here is a current list of SAU 3.0 issues outstanding. Please advise if you know of anything that has been missed. - Signature/Profile sizes not being “scaled” correctly: Eg below. You can see the large pic goes under. Profile: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/user/42272-don-dada/ - Forum Clock is out by 1hr. Posts made @ 5pm, say 4pm. - Trader rating viewable from threads - SA Club user bars (Exec are fine, Club are not working) - Remove reputation system - “Report Post” button does not work, spits out error - 10 post restriction before PM, has been removed. Needs to be reinstated. Already had spammers attacking the forum. Thanks
  16. What model/series? 048? Neova? etc
  17. Charles, normal people eat before 8pm! I suggest you feed yourself before coming along
  18. I didnt even know there was another one out. I wasted months on the old SNES SimCity trying to get 1,000,000 or whatever it was on that one map to get the achievement or whatever. Great game even was back then!
  19. its believed so. not inspected yet far as i know, was in his other thread he started last week in this section.can't remember exactly what it was about.
  20. further to that, i dont think anyone has wasted time actually measuring wheels or what have you.
  21. same as any other 34 turbo. the only thing you need to worry about is that it has 'OP6' on the rear housing. that will confirm. still ceramic, still limited to 10-11psi for longevity. will make around 190-200rwkw
  22. -9 would be the better choice for 300 wouldn't they? roughly around the 15psi mark is all you should need given a 2.6 needs around 18 this is all subjective as head and flow have a fair factor here too.
  23. mech minded or not, your boost controller install IMO is the issue. either that or the controller itself. 'dual stage' bleed values, which is what you have, are well know to be very average products at best. there are better, and incidentally cheaper, options.
  24. issue is low boost as possible, thing is even with a 3Lwith a 3076 you are still looking at what, 18psi or so? depends on ones definition of low, but in mine... that's now low, but there is no stantout alternative.
  25. lol lay the welcome mat out why don't ya, but i must confess that i do agree. although that said he should be making more boost. id say poor install of boost controller. in higher gears/load, its probably hiding it a bit.
