A GT35/.63 is less restrictive than a GT30/.87? I dont think so tim! Its about the same with a .82, GT35 perhaps a tad less.

Certainly never seen two dips on a graph before - id be checking the timing as well. The 2nd dip looks pretty standard but i suspect there is more to it

Well i would highly argue the points above given you are rebuilding it, and it's also had a stock turbo rebuilt (which sounds retarded from the start). Either way, without stating your budget - none of us can really help fix your lemon.

You can't. If you want a loud exhaust, it's going to drone @ low RPM. That is how sound works. You can't have it silent and then suddenly loud legally. You'd need to buy a valve of some sort that only opens above 2500rpm or something. End of the day its always subjective anyway. What some people say is "fine", is ridiculously loud to someone else.

You prices are rubbish - 2x the price As for heard? There is nothing wrong with them. Whos spilling this rubbish? My one that i paid $110 for (1TB external, 3.5") comes with its own power cable and has worked fine for ages now and i transfer a LOT of data over it. It's the drive inside that is no different to what you could buy as a normal "HDD" over the counter and install into a PC. How it's being powered makes no difference either. USB or fulltime cable makes no difference. Inside a PC case they are only running direct off the PSU and not @ 12V anyway.

Why do you want a R34 head? Its not specifically "that" much better. Plenty here have made 350-370rwkw through a stock RB25 head (non NEO). Picked up my ASUS TOP 5850 the other day. already overclocked to 825mhz but from all the reviews ive been reading - bit of voltage and they will see over 950mhz without fail. Cheery picked by ASUS FTW! Either way there isnt anything wrong with putting a internal 2.5" into a external casing, that's all you get in a external casing anyways. The drives themselves are no different

^ That site if a load of rubbish for the most part, and old info. It was ripped from these very pages about 5-6 years ago and even then it was wrong. Either way - there are dozens of exhaust threads mate as you've seen from the search. Basically whatever you want will be fine. 3", two mufflers and a CAT. all you need, and most likely legal.

Have a look @ any graph where R&R kicks in hard - it basically pulls the entire midrange quite easy to see how backing off boost, restoring midrange = faster.
