  1. ahh yeah not ready to put on yet....it is at the power coater's (CRAVED) getting re-done. but since I left him with 2 sway bars 2 timing belt covers 4 cam covers 1 twin turbo pipe 4 coil pack covers 1 radiator 1 intercooler 1 oil cooler 1 sump 2 turbo housings I can't complain about it taking a few weeks I told him to "surprise" me with the new colour....I'm a bit nervous.
  2. jesus....someone put wheels under that fridge!
  3. Personally there are lots of reasons that I went rb30 instead of stroker rb26. here are some cheaper bottom end ok, much cheaper bottom end. $000s. more capacity (yes, there is no substitute for cubes) more torque at the same revs. and less revs required for longer, happier life. better rod/stroke ratio (rb26 is already terrible, stroked rb26 are worse again) down sides for the rb30: stuffing around with the impact of the taller block - gearbox bolts, radiator hoses, dump pipes, intake.
  4. excellent choice, I would definately go a logging dash if I was starting over again. it might seem more expensive at first but it will be so much cheaper, more reliable and more useable over the years
  5. I think the issue is that there are no cool pics of M35s. Try searching for "C34" instead you will find heaps of cool pics
  6. actually....one thing. I don't trust the degree markings on *any* cam gear, china or not. ie don't read the internet and just set them to exhaust +4, intake -2 or whatever. you *must* dial them in for your exact setup. so expect to spend some dyno time trying different settings otherwise you are wasting your money
  7. lol aint that the truth! I've been running JJR on the race car for years with no issues (other than user error lol) also have run the tomei ones and found no difference.
  8. fair enough. one unfortunate day i forgot to tighten the bolts on my jjr one before going on the dyno. It happily slipped from one end of it's adjustment to the other without mashing anything.
  9. lol no way he made that corner and didn't spin or fall off
  10. I'm sure once holden release sugar cane taxis that it will very quickly spread to other states. It's great news.
  11. sorry I have to disagree with that - slipping adjustable gear would not move far enough for pistons to hit valves, they only allow a few degrees, not enough to hit.
  12. btw the viscous couplings are available aftermarket much cheaper than nissan. I got one thru UAS recently because mine was locked on
  13. we are trying to get something sorted. the price for corporate facilities like in previous years was outside the club's budget.
  14. I've never had trouble with generic chinese gears with 3 bolts when done up properly.
  15. how'd you go Mark? The state champs are always looking for flaggies State Round 2 10 - 11 April Wakefield Park State Round 3 19 -20 June Eastern Creek State Round 4 28 - 29 August Wakefield Park State Round 5 23 - 24 October Eastern Creek
  16. love your projects! we need some race pics and results
  17. I agree, I think it has been for a swim sometime. scrap it
  18. re55/dz03g/a050 would be my pick. I won't run a050 for racing since it only comes in soft and medium but it would be ok for sprints. out of re55 and dz03 I take the dz03 because they are better if it rains. about the same in the dry
  19. lol probably not the problem then!!
  20. plus everything in schedule A and B which apply for all CAMS events: http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_re...le_A_B_Q110.pdf
  21. since you just changed tie rod ends, my guess is the steering is not centred properly. if hicas thinks you are turning when you are actually going straight it throws an error. when they did they wheel alignment did they adjust the steering wheel, or is it out of centre when pointing straight ahead?
  22. I'm sure shell is underway processing the memberships now. And yes we do still get good trade prices at Nissan in Rydalmere (Lincorp), Federal Tyres, Just Jap, etc etc And of course the so-far-secret aluminium radiator supplier that I'll get around to announcing in the next day or 2
  23. I can't confirm in the 33 system, but the weight of the "heavy" steering in 32 is perfect for track work. We aren't talking unassisted steering it just takes a little more force than usual.
  24. don't know about easier. bush bearings are cheaper for sure. but 32 n1 runs 270o bush bearing not 360o, not exactly ideal. ball bearing should cause less drag, faster spool and more power for the same size wheels...
