  1. Just nicely IMO, if it clears the suspension on the inside. Extends an extra 1mm than my wheels. But 12mm less room on the inside than stock Best get a test fit, and consider tyres as well.
  2. But its made from recycled Russian tin cans...? Unless the paint is Renault, in which case it should be fine. High Horse much?
  3. Iain should buy his back for 15k and get the free car with it. Trabant will need rust repairs within 12 months now, best to let it go.
  4. Totally understandable. As am I. Thats why I do my own work with Mates, as I haven't found anyone I'm totally happy with. Except Jez who does my Tune work- legend. The reason dealerships are so expensive is because the service side of things props up the sales side of things. I was suprised when some other people in a different thread said the margins of new cars are very small. Parts/service is the only way they can keep running.
  5. Jack up rear of car under diff. Car in neutral, handbrake off (do it somewhere the car won't move obviously). Turn a wheel (by hand), if the other rear spins the opposite way = open diff. Spins the same way when your friend puts some pressure slowing down the wheel, VLSD. At this stage it doesn't matter too much. There are a lot of people out there with good handling cars that don't have VLSDs.
  6. GTR-OZ You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about regarding the training that they receive ("Nissan Tida machanics, having done their 1 day course, now trying service a GT-R"). So I'm not going to argue the point with you. Its Mechanics too mate, with an "e". Where would I take the car out of warranty? Well I'd do it myself. Taken a gearbox out of a Turbocharged VQ before, so I doubt they'd be any issues with this. Parts are available from the US as has been linked.
  7. Black / Red, I am undecided. Pics may help decision making. Scarf- its night, have you some Pizzas to make or something? We usually get some respite around this time.

    Name And Shame

FYP Dickheads have no limits on what car they can buy. 33, 34, boganadore, lambo- doesn't matter. dickheads still be dickheadin.
  10. Lolz. Thread needs more leesh selfies, and less scarf. The better lolz are in the Victorian version of this.
  11. Thread brings all the whores to the yard.
  12. Back to suspension school Sonny swaybars- soft front, hard rear= oversteer bias Hard front, soft rear = understeer bias. Try it out - see if you prefer / feel more confident with a different bar setting. If your after handling, bye bye 20's. Back to 18s with some quality rubber, and sort out the handling with a proper suspension set up.
  13. Sorry mate, but your selling them a bit short there. I personally am good friends with a Factory GTR trained mechanic, and know that the Factory course that they do is very in-depth, involves them driving the car on a track. The GTR also has its own tool chest. I was actually talking to him about this issue on NYE. He found the issue, videoed it, and sent it to Nissan long before this thread popped up. So far He's done 4 replacements.
  14. Ching chong spec tyres is what I think. Either get some decent rubber under you (and yes it will cost a fortune because of your choice of wheels) OR Go to front hard, and rear soft on the swaybars, to promote more understeer bias.

  16. Your not putting it together are you? The car has been confirmed through FAST, where it shows as a N1. The car still has a control module because it still has a fan, heater etc etc. Without a control module you couldn't operate these, so the car still has the controls. The car won't have a AC compressor, condensor, lines, etc etc- that is what Nissan Deleted at the factory. Don't post rubbish like "it doesn't sound right to me" in this guys thread. Hopefully someone will clean it. Looks to be a great example. Rarer than the R32 N1.
  17. Name change would provide more accuracy. And we do pride ourselves on our accuracy.
  18. missing it. Had a very ronry feeling on sunday night...
  19. Nail head etc again Dale. I sold bbqs once. Did I know a thing about em? Nup, just they cook meat. You made some shit up, people liked it, and bought one. It takes a very special person to sell car well, because they have to balance so many variables. The only respect I have are for the ones that work high end, who will really go out of their way to help. Hypothetical example, if I sold that Aston, and it was in that condition, I would be ashamed. Dead set ashamed. If I was taking 400k off someone, I would deliver it myself, make sure everything went smooth, I'd even farkin feed your dog while you went away for the weekend! Service is what people remember, and IMO Australian service is piss poor. Going to stop now and press post before I rant any more!
  20. New pads front and rear. Love how easy it is, especially will sumitomo front calipers. Bedding them, early signs are good. See how they go on the track!
  21. Or you get a call with "give your best / bottom price". Always seems to be the same accent. Even got that from a girl once....
  22. Unless BJs are involved.......... Lol! Some great ones in there Dale.
