  1. May as well post here, Does anyone know exactly what voltage an rb25det o2 sensor should be at idle? Should it bounce between 0.2-0.9v like when cruising? Or should it be steady at idle? Brought a new sensor ntk, the old sensor was stuck on 0.6v at idle, the new sensor sits at 0.85v at idle. AFR at idle is 13.8-14.2 idles fine. Searched a lot but found varying opinions.
  2. Do you still use the factory fuel hat? And do you need to drop the tank too run the new return line?
  3. Thanks gtsboy, I will leave it forever now. Just wanted to get it sau certified before sending it, will continue with plans.
  4. I think my exhaust cam seal is slowly starting to leak but only when the engine is cold. Ive got the car booked in for a tune in 3 weeks, if its not leaking bad do you reckon i can get it fixed after the tune? No where else is oily, no oil is present when driving just that small about gathers on the head under the cam 3-6hrs after driving and slowly migrates down the head overnight. maybe 1-3 drops worth. Do you guys think it would be ok to leave it until after the tune?

  6. Yeah I'm a little annoyed, I knew somthing wasn't 100% right when i picked it up. It was rebuilt by Gavin Wood Autotech on the Gold Coast, but he has since gone out of business.
  7. Sorry it's an R33 s2.5 gtst. I think a new box is around $3.7k, i payed $2.4k to rebuild/fix my gearbox last time but it still didn't feel 100%. I'll go and get some quotes in the coming days. Thanks again.
  8. Thanks BK, I'll get some quotes for a rebuild vs. a new box.
  9. Yeah no worries. I'll just have to see how it goes, the gearbox doesn't seem to be crunching at the moment.
  10. Thanks duncan, Is it common for these syncroniser clips to fall out? How long do gearbox's last with them missing? I had the gearbox rebuilt 2-3 yrs ago but it always felt a little sloppy, still works fine just a little notchy. Thought I'd change the oil...
  11. Hello, I changed my gearbox oil today and found these two things on the magnetic drain plug. Does anyone know what and where these are from, and why they're in my oil?
  12. You can still buy the injectors from golbys, you just need to make sure you get the correct nozzle adaptors to make them fit. l would ring efisolutions and ask what nozzle adaptors you need to buy to reach 3/4 height injectors. You can buy a wiring specialties plug and play injector harness, makes things easy. https://www.wiringspecialties.com/wsrbinhabrne.html
  13. I'd buy the whole injector kit from efisolutions, so you get the correct nozzle adaptors to suit the injectors and their rail. Also you have to split the intake plenum to fit the taarks fuel rail.
  14. Yeah it shouldn't, I reckon part of my result was due to him not being able to use the boost controller properly. Do you still run factory fuel lines in your car?
  15. Thanks for the reply @hyper-gear yeah I know the intercooler isn't desirable, but ive seen a guy up my way make 280kw with an r34 hiflow turbo on 18psi with the same blitz return intercooler only differance was a link ecu. So I'm thinking maybe I should put the 18psi actuator on and try again. I'd like to avoid cutting a hole for a proper intercooler at the moment just to avoid any unwanted attention from the police, but it might be on the cards in the future. Have you had any issues with stock fuel lines not being up to the task of running 20psi? because you run a lot of boost in your cars? Do you have stock fuel lines? Im not to sure ben, I'm not that clued up on the ins and outs of fuel pressure and tuning. He just said the fuel pressure differentials isolating and suspected a restriction between the reg and tank. Was hoping it made some sense to you guys.
  16. Got my car tuned at the end of last year, I'm not sure if it's a good or bad result for so little boost. Stock Rb25det w/ Z32 nistune, Hypergear Atr45sat, 1000cc injectors, blitz return-flow intercooler, splitfire coils, 255 Walbro pump directly wired, xforce 3" dump pipe & cat, apexi 3.5" exhaust, 3" metal intake to stock airbox. Result was 230kw on 15psi dropping to 13psi. Car was tuned with the 13psi wastegate spring. Tuner couldn't figure the boost controller out proply and seemed hesitant to run the 18psi spring, he also reckons stock fuel lines are not really up to the task to run around 20psi. And also noted the fuel pressure differential isolating, and suspected a fuel return issue from reg to tank, not sure if everyone gets this or I have an issue. after x amount of time on the dyno I wasn't sticking around to play. What do y'all think?
  17. Thanks for the reply mate, yeah I've given up on that idea. 18x9 doesn't seem to work 100%
  18. Looking at changing wheels, currently have 18x9 +37 rear w/ 265/35R18 & 18x8 +36 front w/ 235/40R18. Which fit great but don't really like the staggered fitment. Looking at Enkei rfp1 18x9+35, just wondering if 18x9+35 rfp1's fit on the front of an R33 gtst and clear the brake calipers?
  19. Ok thanks, I grabbed some vht white epoxy self priming paint hopefully its all good.
  20. Thanks, I was able to sand it all off with 240grit wasnt really that bad, I've rust converted the area. Im going to try and respray that area tomorrow, just wondering if I can prime over the small bare metal patch and old paint and primer all at once? And should I use etch primer or just normal surface primer be fine then top coat?
  21. I removed my strut brace and noticed this little bit of surface rust on both sides. What would be the best way to clean it up properly?
  22. Pretty sure its not the crimp connection on the pressure line leaking, but the line above out of the reservoir between the hose and hard line. But for anyone interested the high pressure line from the pump to the rack is around $260. Ex japan, and the reservoir hose is around $50.
