Valuation of r33 gtst 1998 40th anniversary
dyl33 replied to Stephy P's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
There was one a few months back at a dealer in vic. It was stock, dark blue reasonable condition not mint 140,000km sold for $15,500. I wouldnt want to sell mine for much less. if in good condtion, supply is getting low for good cars there is only 27 r33 gtst for sale on carsales and 85% of them are rubbish. -
I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those 10 seconds or less, I'm free.

So basically, A bunch of tossers got together to try and look like heros for 1320 YouTube yobbo....... sick aye!

Is this true? I always thought it was what some owners say too 'Blow their own horn'. -
Variable sized bits of wood ....then fix your ride height issue

aus 2 R33 GTR's for sale, which one should I consider
dyl33 replied to hotz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I was only commenting on the dirtiness of the strut towers, rad support ect. Would have to of been poorly cared for to get like that in my opinion. -

From the engine bay pic it looks crap for 71,000 kms Sounds like a good dealer, I'd stay well away from him. -
Nostrils* I thought the 32's were already targeted by the states. Eleanor

In terms of looks that's completely up to the individuals personal taste. whats nostalgia to someone born after 1989
-
Do you get to bring your own expert mechanic or do they supply that too?
-
-
You need.... none of that shit

How are GTST/GTT's going down hill, sure they may not be as expensive as certain GTR models. But it if you look around the forsale sites. if anything their slightly on the rise. the point of 400kw figure skating.....well it's a mans sport. You can have as much trouble selling a poorly heavily modded GTR too, no one wants someone elses thrashed out modded car. Sloppy seconds! Screw delvelopment give them to the U.S they are old cars, everyone that wanted one has probably already had it or moved on. It's not as if they were forged out of the last remaining samurai swords and trimmed with dugong forskin leather.
-
There's still nice ones around probably not used as dailys or parked on the street. Sometime parting out is a better option even more so for heavily modded cars, unless the buyer understands and appreciates the time and money it costs to have a car a certain way. stuff giving them it for free because they only expect to pay 10k because there is a stocker for sale around the corner. It's more about the whole performance layout of skylines that will keep them desirable into the future, rather then straight out speed or idoodle connectivity or other homo creature comforts. So the new Camry can stay the daily. there will always be a market for the RWD skyline as GTR prices potentially go bananas some people might find it hard paying 2-3+ times the price for essentially the same car. Luckily joe blows don't really buy them these days, same with a lot of JDM goodies. So either they are brought by enthusiasts wanting to have large amounts of fun or for nostalgia purposes now.

Leaving your car in reverse gear while rolling down a hill
dyl33 replied to IM-32-FK's topic in General Maintenance
If your foot was on the clutch and pressed in, no gear is selected. Your just riding the clutch. If you were going forward down the hill in reverse and let the clutch out you may have a problem. -

Rare, slightly. Expensive, they say a suckers born every minute. Are you referring to the Nismo lcd screen cluster forsale in Sydney? Someone else posted about it awhile ago. -

Review: Mothers NuLens™ Headlight Renewal Kit
dyl33 replied to PranK's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've used that Glassy Lite kit worked well also Invision headlight kit has decent uv sealant. Another thing I've used is 303 aerospace protectant. Best thing to do is just buy a bottle of UV sealant. if you can't get it locally, you can from the U.S then just sand/polish.
