  1. So now I have reached a point where I need to make a decision. I have LMGT1s 17s and I need to get new rotors and pads. Car makes about 350 and want to throw it around a track and is regularly driven. Looked at the UAS upgrade kit with some braided lines and consists of this: Quote: UAS 343MM BIG BRAKE KIT FOR NISSAN SKYLINE GTR KIT INCLUDES: 343MM SLOTTED TWO PIECE ALLOY ROTORS HATS BILLET ALLOY CALIPER ADAPTERS TO SUIT FACTORY CALIPERS CAP BOLTS CUSTOM FERODO 2500 PADS SUITABLE FOR R32 / R33 & R34 GTR Then I see this on eBay Quote: Up for sale is a set of Brembo F40 calipers that was bolted to a Nissan R34 Skyline. These brakes were purchased secondhand, and since the purchase, they have had a seal kit put in them and have been powder coated gloss black. Since the work has been done, these brakes have not been used whilst the vehicle has been driven as they are off an unfinished project car. The whole kit comes with 343x32mm RDD Rotors, RDD alloy radial mounts, endless blue pads and braided lines. Price difference is no big deal but I am just thinking long-term. So will I get a noticeable advantage with selecting the f40s in performance or durability or is the standard caliper UAS upgrade enough for my application. Love my 17s so bigger size is not an option. I just want to do this once and not regret my choice. Thanks
  2. You know deep inside you going to have to change it though:(
  3. +1
  4. Sound like over-fueling more than anything. If you suspect bovs then block them off and drive around for a week and see how you go.... How is you fuel economy..any fuel smell at any stage?
  5. Funny when it happened she tried to take my clubby on finance....I said its all yours....a GTR was in my sights..ha ha
  6. Did you check the MAFs
  7. Hey mate. For rust I think a lot of the hot rodders use POR15 but if you jump on the forums they use anything from fishoil to mineral engine oil. Depends on if you want professional finish or just practical. Good thing about fishoil is that it's thin enough to penetrate the seams and dries thick to create a barrier. If your roads a salted then there is heaps of info on US and UK motoring sites. Oil pump choice is up to you but more important is the oil control mods that need to be made for the rebuild relevant to the pump you install. Heaps of info on the forum. Drive shaft...just get a stock one or a few if you are prone to breaking them. Good luck
  8. Yes it can!!!Three outcomes are possible. 1. It doesn't work. 2. It has a negative effect. 3. It has a positive effect. That's all that matters.
  9. Mmmmm science is amazing....especially when it tries to disprove things that have proven to work in REAL LIFE. Scientists or pharmacists with minimal real life experience should give no weight to research and white papers especially when real world experiences differ. That's ok. They will learn the limitations of science eventually.
  10. You have just summarized my life. Do you know me.
  11. To be honest I think start with gaba and arginine and see how you go. I think you would be surprised with the results. Phenibut will serve it's purpose if really needed but something to avoid if possible because of it's negative side effects with dependancy. Just a thought.
  12. I love em though. Due for some tyres now. Can fit 255s on them or even 265s for a classic old school look I think. Been eyeing out those Works emotion XD9s +18. Nice rim.
  13. Tell me about it. Want to upgrade my brakes and I might need 18s. Might not upgrade just to keep them.
  14. Transfer papers are binding as soon as you sign them. Yeah it's a good idea to sign a waver also and make sure you note the time of signing. Once you go to vicroads the transfer is complete. Then from the date stamped by vicroads you have 28days to get a rwc if it expires I think they cancel the reg. Did this about 3 months ago. No probs.
  15. Thinking of selling my LMGT1s 17s. That are white. Not sure though I love em. I will get pictures. But I know what you mean about the old school look...something that just sit right with 32 and 33.
  16. I think you need those to work for your atessa system to work properly too. Don't quote me though could be wrong

  18. I do my headlights at the same time with this stuff...ha ha.
  19. Nice mate. I don't usually like 19s on a GTR but you have changed my opinion. Suits the car to a tee. Perfect. Congrats
  20. No sure mate but just have search for r32 battery relocation. Should have all the info you need.
  21. Yeah this is with a lot if things mate. Especially when we are looking natural support supplements. Best thing I found is to cycle off every 4-6 weeks. So I found if you find 2 things that work you cycle them so your body doesn't get accustomed to one thereby rendering it less effective.
