  1. a 245 on an 11 inch wide tyre?? i have heard of it but looks stupid... each to there own!
  2. **** running E85. is the guy that built your car running E85? correct me if im wrong but running more fuel pressure you can use less duty cycle??
  3. i agree with GTS BOY, thats exactly what your 33 will look like with that offest lol. your looking at ??x10.5 +12/15 sitting flush with standard guards. with the offset and size you have described you are looking at the rims sticking out 1.5-1.8cm more than it being flush, get a ruler out and check how big that is. doesnt seem like much but when its on there sitting on the car it will sit out a long way.
  4. definatly the smarted choise, and is pretty cheap from memory, like $200, it fits into my r34 gtr but from memory the tuner told me all that needed modifying was the connection onto the pump. if your looking at running E85, you would want a pump that is designed for it and with 460LPH pump you will have no dramas in the future when you decide to push more power aswell. i would even upgrade to 2000cc inj aswell so there will be no need to worry in the future
  5. hey dude if your having dramas, ring trent from mercury motorsport. i purchased all my haltech gear through him, told hime what setup i wanted and he sorted me out with exactly what i needed. food for thought.
  6. im no expert but i guess its the same question as whats so bad about having my oil, coolant, and air really hot.. is it going to make much difference.... well of course you want to keep everything as cool as possible.. not too cool but you get what i mean.
  7. from my experience hearing from people running E85 i dont think you get much change from 1000cc inj, after about 350kw
  8. google search man, there are plenty of places that sell them! might even find a place in australia that sell them. or try www.JSAI.com.au speak to josh
  9. JDM-EGG As Hadouken said above, I used my launch control from my haltech computer, sits between 5000-5500rpm and builds about .8bar of boost ( i think ) i was running 40psi tyre pressure im sure if you ask nicely Hadouken will post up a video
  10. ive got a GTR if you want i can lead if thats what you were looking for? ive also got a few mates that are probably going to come along aswell, s14, s15, and an evo 8
  11. not sure man, Tuner did it all. what he says i would trust as his work is the best!
  12. yep run a walbro 460LPH pump im making 388 kw with 2000cc inj and its fine works a treat
  13. what he said ^^^ mine were gonna be getting around the 100% around the 360kw mark with an E85 walbro pump so i upgraded to 2000cc inj. food for thought
  14. are you talking like an acutal full bonnet with vents like a Ztune style bonnet? or just the vent inserts so you can DIY? http://www.knightracer.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2380
  15. R34 GTR on F452's 388kw @ 20psi e85 11.6 @ 123mph 1.8 60ft
  16. Few pics of my car GREATER "GR34TR"
  17. ye hang on so this is in an evo?????? maybe you might get more help on OZEVO or more of a response as it might be a common issue with the 4G63 yes some cars like to drink oil, but as for an evo i have no idea
  18. just replaced my standard thermostat with a nismo thermostat! along with a koyo radiator (53mm) my temps hardly get past 75 degrees!
  19. so it wasnt full then?? if you have done some spirited driving/ track day since your last oil change plus mixed oil, plus maybe you dont have enough oil in there all these together sounds like a bad mix. maybe time for you to do a proper oil change with some brand new oil and filter and see how it goes from there
  20. when was the last time you changed your oil? did you change your filter aswell? how much oil are you using when you do an oil change? does your stock oil pressue gauge work on your dash (assuming you have one)?
  21. me personally i like to know whats going on in the car. obviously the usuals help (oil cooler/bigger intercooler/bigger radiator) but if you need them then do it. i would find out all your temps first after some spirited driving and then see if you are in need of them. no point buying an oil cooler if you dont need it. "although over compensating isnt always a bad thing especially for the future" and remember you get what you pay for. i personally like to spend the extra 20-30% on known brands because they have been tested and work correct and give you a better reading. for example ive known people that buy rip off gauges and the temp just reads all over the place. food for thought!
  22. you are right it doesnt build boost, but its quite easy to to hold revs at a certain RPM, but the aim of the topic is to compare antilag setups. i have had both, a bee*r limiter - add on (bang bang) type and yes as it was fantastic to hear it backfire its probably not the best idea i used it maybe 5 times, i know have a haltech with a built in launch control. it feels much nicer and of course its made to be used and controlled by the computer
  23. i owned a PFC with -5s and now changed to a Haltech with a HKS T51r yes both different turbo setups but changing from the PFC to Haltech everything seems alot smoother with the Haltech! i do agree with the above every tuner pretty much knows how to tune Power FC but i also agree with XRATED they are designed, newer technology and you have everything there ready to go if you decide to change for a track setup or E85 or Flex tune. it also allows you to use alot of add ons as also mentions above. but to that is double the price of the PFC but, i found the PFC to feel very strange when it was cold, i cant quite describe the feelling but you can definatly notice the difference with the 2. as for a tuning perspective i dont know which one is "nicer" to tune, but thats for your tuner to work out. also choose a computer your tuner feels most comfortable to tune,
