I currently own a 32 Gtr V-Spec II in a late 93 platform. One of only 1300 or so made from memory so some what rare :) At the moment its pretty standard with only minor mods such as turbo back exhaust, alarm, rims, turbo timer, hicas lock out and thats about it from memory. Next week but that will be a bit different ha ha :D still too long away lol for pictures just click on my profile got a few on there

cheers

There was 1303 built, starting from April 1994... What is your model Code? does it have"7", "AA" or "8 AA" at the end?

Does my PNV rate on here?

It is 1 of probably only 2 or maybe 3 in Oz.

Does it qualify as rare???

Cheers, D

i hope so cuz i just recently bought the other remaining ruuning one so if yoiurs inst a clasic then neither is mine i just bought it for a man in canberra it will have all the little bits that are won replaced and will be in the show in september thanks now i know there are others out there like me ha ha wizzard

Mine is a 6/92 model bnr32..but with factory drivers airbag.

Not quite in the 'RARE' category as some others here, but i know of no others on this forum ?...anyone.

Im actually looking for some hard evidence as to how many were actually produced with this option.

So i need help. I wanna put a turbo on my RB20DE N/A. Can i just put a turbo on it as is, or do i have to upgrade any thing? Or is the N/A RB20 engine exactly the same as the Turbo RB20DET? besides the turbo obviously.. Internals Ect... ?

If you can get a VIN, it should quickly clear it up.

Could be one of a few things though

1. N1's came in white, however this is due to teams quickly painting them in there own colours

2. could be a run of the mill GTR prepped by NISMO for a one make series - haven't heard of one, but not a far stretch

3. Could be something limited like an N1, R1, Z-tune (unlikely) etc which was bought and the retro fitted with the stuff you mentioned

Either way, sounds nice and rare or not, find those pics :-)

To pick up where I left off 9 months ago..

The owner that bought it had (at the time) the R32 GTR's that won Bathurst..so he definately knew his skylines.

To answer #2. What you said is what the new owner was saying to my boss at the time of purchase. "There was 3 cars brought in to the country (2 yellow, 1 blue) by Nissan which were gonig to be used for a one make series in Japan, but was cancelled at the last minute..."

In the boot area there was evidence of a roll cage (in the form of an X) that protruded into the interior cabin, but the cage wasnt visible from the cabin as it was covered up by the panels.

Car was "ridiculously quick"

I have the details which shows nothing out of the ordinary (TBH I don't know what i was looking for..)

VIN: 6U9000BNR34000272

Eng: RB26067608A

12/98 Build.

It does smell like a lie but the new owner had proved to my boss with a Japanese article from Nissan all about the car..

Thanks for your help

turbo ecu, turbo injectors, turbo or aftermarket fuel pump, intercooler, dump pipe, front pipe, exhaust

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
