will start the list shortly.

The high tensile pivot screws in to part of the box, then the clutch release fork pivots on it. They are a known failiure point, especially when you are using a clutch with a high clamp load, so the high tensile ones are worthwhile.

The needle roller sits on the end of the input shaft, it's obviously a much better bearing type than the bronze bush that is in there from the factory.

I can't really comment on the strength of the super light flywheel, as I dont know enough about what R+D has gone into them. I will say this, all the flywheel failures I have heard of and seend were either factory flywheels, or 'lightened' factory flywheels being used with upgraded clutches. I would still choose a new, chrome molly lightweight flywheel over an old, cast factory one. I would hope that these are 'fit for purpose' and I'm pretty sure they would be.

Is there any special Clutch and Pressure Plate we have to use with these?

Or can I just use a Heavy Duty Clutch and a 2.5t Pressure plate? (Standard Replacement)

just a quick update. there was a little set-back at UAS with a massive fire on the shop above. Everything should be pretty well back to normal tomorrow so I'll get up the payment and order details together tomorrow.

ok guys. time to get payment happening:

All you need to do is go here: http://www.nismo.com.au/order_form.htm

And fill out the details (put Beer Baron group buy, or SAU group buy), put down what you want, and use the prices from my first post to get yourself a total.

then send through the order direct to Unique Autosports and they will sort you out.

Any questions about delivery time etc they will be able to answer for you no problem.

Ok, well anyways, I just sent through my order for a super light chrome moly flywheel (4.8kg) $450 + $30 freight.

Hopefully this will go a long way to getting better off boost response from my R32 GTST. Ohhh and I get to throw in the new clutch while I'm at it.

Fixxxer :yucky:

Hey guys, as Beer Baron said, send through your orders ASAP so we can get this group buy going. I called the guys this morning and they are waiting for the group buy orders so they can offer the discounted prices. In other words, they will not send out my lightened flywheel for the discounted price until they have a minimum number of guys paid up.

**Beer Baron, please advise the guys who were in the group buy (off the other forum) to send through their order.

Thanks all,

Fixxxer :(

Alright I'll send my order through when I have time..

If you are lookng for a r34 lightened flywheel give the guys a call (you can get their number from clicking on the order form a few posts above here). They may be able to do that and attach it onto this 'group buy', for a good price..... who knows.

Fixxxer :)

hi guys. verry sorry for the slow replies. I'm currently in japan and haven't really been on-line much at all. the best thing to do is contact UAS and all questions will be answered.

    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
    • Well the articals keep saying a Q50s (Skyline in Japan) with a new Manual gearbox. I like the talk about the new looks with the round tail lights. I hope they bring back the retro look like they did with the Z
