You GT-R boys are getting further and further away... :)

LOL...jokingly thats what i was thinking. Rewind 2 years if i had of had better fortune with my car and got the whole Racepace tune thing happening sooner the first few outings of the R32 would have had it posting quicker times then most the GTRs

Problem is all the cheaters are getting way more track time and are now kick ass drivers in kick ass cars. The time for the rwd boys is been and gone, consider 2005 the high water mark of when a rwd guy could have given GTR guys shit :(

Been lucky enough to be a passenger in a car that did a 1:19 with me in it...and i dont care what car you are in, to do those times you are punting the thing damn well.

So hats off to you mental defectives who leave your sanity at the front gate :)

GT3? Man im stoked to have the old girl back moving around under power and making noise!

Out of interest Jack, is that it, or you think there is still a bit in it? Were you running fresh rubber. Its scary to think a road car can maybe still improve

LOL...its time to get the SAU "I bagged a teen at Sandown" stubbie holders going >_<

OR, maybe commemorative shirts. Perhaps "Jack is the Stig" shirts

LOL...its time to get the SAU "Ive done a teen at Sandown" stubbie holders going

hahaha I smell a law suit...

As for the GT3's Bris... they're only a Porka, what do they know about building cars...>_<

bah porkas... the black 911 had a BIG spin right in front of me in the first corner... the look on his face was priceless... the speed with which it just suddenly swapped ends was frightening

you guys just need some stockish GTR's to take to the track... but the again what does Scotsman do around there, 1.21's or something!? hehe

that little blue S2000 was cool... supercharged and running pretty decent times... I followed him for a bit but he was lightening quick through the corners... I want one

yep set a pb and I guess that's what its all about... possibly could have gone faster but the wobble from the rotors in the braking area was getting real bad and I had a big off at the sweeper when I ran wide onto the grass... managed to get it back onto the black stuff and still pointing the right way, so decided to call it a day at that point;)

next time I am going to pack a spare set of undies and I won't have to go home to change hahaha

majorly addicted now and hope to make it to more rounds of the SAU championship next year

2 wheels is fun (and cheaper... yay)

Don't worry Dane, You'll still be able to beat me

:thumbsup::laugh:

Anyway, you GTR guys are taking it to a completely different level. If your times continue to fall next year it will be interesting to see if it forces then hand of CAMS????

Anyway, the rwd class looks like its going to be a hoot next year  and good work NickR33 punching out a PB. To the best of my knowledge thats the quickets street tyre time for a Skyline/Silvia etc

Thanks for the compliments guys, I've been walking around with a smile on my face all day....

Tyres were 3 meetings old (now 4), so I guess with fresh rubber times might have been slightly better, but in saying that the car had heaps of grip, always did....

Following JFK around really opened my eyes in where I could go faster, so I thought if his car could do it so could mine...

I can confidently say that there is more in it, as turn 1 is a bit tricky, still haven't worked out my braking point and being off camber can throw you to the other side of the track very easily...

The back section after the straight is very intimidating, but if you have the right line you will surprised how fast you can take it, even when the car is walking across the track....

Jack the Stig - does that mean I have to wear a really cool helmet and listen to 'Whitesnake' when Im racing????

awesome work Jack...

wish i could have been out there...

and dammit i forgot about the day entirely - spent the day cleaning the house and doing my tax return :P

would have been a great excuse to get out and have a gander if I remembered >_<

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
