i can rock up at 10am, but i start work at 1:30, is it ok to just turn up for that amount of time? I work in south melbourne, so would be leaving about 1:20'ish...

any rough ideas at this stage when the awards will be awarded?

That is correct - only cars who are entering the Show N Shine will be permitted to park at Birrarung Mar.

Anyone coming along to have a look will need to find parking somewhere and walk in.

You will be able to join as a member on the day, but to make things quicker, I would fill in a membership form and bring it along with you, as well, with correct money.

So I can enter Mr Otto even tho he doesn't stand a chance of winning anything, just so I don't have to find alternate parking? :)

Entry to the pak opens at 10am, right? What's the time frame for Show n Shine entries since I doubt ferni will awake at 10am let alone be somewhere (other than a track) by 10am....

Can i join up us a vic club member on sunday if i bring the form and correct money?

I wont be entering in the show and shine, i just figured this will be easiest time for me to sign up as a member!

Hoping to come down and meet everyone, sent membership application a week ago so hopefully I will be allowed in the gate  (I did PM Adzmax to check for me) :(

Anyone heading in from Eastern subs want to cruise in together? I am from Kilsyth.

I should be there, but won't be entering. Too much competition in the R32 category.

Too bad we couldn't do a tie in with sexpo. Drive a skyline and get teh chicks! (or blokes if that's what you're after)

Guys this event is more about displaying the diversity of our club rather than a 'Autosalon' style car display.

The more cars we have tomorrow the better.

The trophies are just a bit of entra incentive so that the best car/s on the day get a little something.

If your car isnt in showroom condition, it doesnt matter, bring it along and put it on display so we can show the public what we have to offer.

See y'all tomorrow. :)

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
