Just thought i would see what top 3 games series people prefer and which games from the series do you like the most.

Mine:

1. Metal Gear solid series - Deffinately my favourite games series can get enough of it, i have every MGS game that has been available and multiple copies of some of them. My favourite one would have to be the original Metal Gear Solid (I have 3 different versions of it)

2. Gran Turismo series - This will be high on most peoples list im assuming, great racing simulator for hours of fun. My favourite would be GT3

3. Final Fantasy series - I have played and finished from 7 onwards awesome series, great RPG. My favourite would be FF7 it has the best story of them all and also the best battle system great all round game that i still play today.

So tell me and everyone else what your favourites are

1: Final fantasy Series.

thousand of hours invested into the FF series!

FFVII, although its gettin a bit long in the tooth, im still playing it, finished it countless times, 1,000+ in this game since it was first released... and i still havent finished everything!!

FFVIII, was a serious let down. Played it once, finished practically everything, never touched it again. probably the least time ive ever spent on a game.

FFIX, ranks just as well as FF7, countless hours spent there, only finished it 3 times, but its got lots of years left in it!

FFX, kinda like FFVII, you could spend thousands of hours playing it, and youd probably still miss something. about 300 hours into that since it was released...

FFX-2, didnt interest me a great deal, never finished it, loaned it to a friend about a week after i got it, still havent got it back, might get it back next week n try to finish it.

Ill be gettin myself a copy of the dirge of cerberus in a few weeks, hopefully its as good as FFVII....

2: Metal Gear Solid.

5 minutes into playing the first MGS game, i was hooked, the battles, the twists in the storyline, loved it all, even the hours of frustration the first time i attempted to defeat Rex :P

special missions, MGS2, Substance, Snake eater, Subsistence, played em all, while not as involving as the FF series, so easy to lose track of time, cant wait for the next!

3: Gran Turismo.

I think its pretty self explanatory!

yes, im a bit of a game nerd ;)

Of the orignial MGS i have the normal PS1 version (which i have played countless times getting a quicker time everytime with a best time of 2 hours 23 minutes :) ), VR missions (which i dont count really) the Twin Snakes version on the Game Cube (the reason i bought a Cube) which is apparently hard to get now, and i have the MGS Digital Graphic Novel, so i really only have 2 playable versions but i am including the DGN as a version aswell

I also have MGS 2 Substence, MGS 3 Snake Eater (soon to have Subsistience sp), Metal Gear Ac!d 1 and 2 and hopefully i will have MGS: Portable Ops by the end of this week which is the brand new one which looks awesome :(

The franchise started on early consoles as you mention but it was called Metal Gear, there was a few of them (2 or 3). But the first Metal Gear Solid was on the PS1

1. Monkey Island Series

Point and click adventures are still the greatest games of all time. No one could touch lucasarts games in the early 90's.

The secret of Monkey Island still is my favorite game of all time.

2. SNK fighters.

Hard to decide but maybe KOF2000 all the SNK 2d fighters have been pretty awesome. Some lately have been a bit of a letdown though like SNK vs Capcom chaos.

3. So many other series i love and cherish so it's hard to decide.

It would be out of,

Final Fantasy

Gran Turismo

Metal Gear Solid

Virtua Fighter

Shenmue (god this game is amazing i've got both on dreamcast)

Half Life

Doom

Quake

Silent Hill

Resident Evil

Phantasy Star (i played thousands of hours online with the dreamcast, sadly the dreamcast and gamecube servers will be shut down next march)

Grand Theft Auto

Tony Hawk

Capcom had awesome fighting games, Like Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, X-men Vs Street Fighter on saturn is awesome, Street Fighter 2 and most of it's spinoff's

Good to see someone list the Secret of Mana series.

Wow you got so many similar series that I played except for Doom, Quake, Tony Hawk, Monkey crap :P

Must agree Shenmue series is awesome and it's a shame not many people even know it. When I first saw it on Internet back in '99 I couldn't believe it was possible to make that sort of graphic and game play, it was pretty much the pinnacle of video games back then. I also spent gazillion hours on Phantasy Star Online DC just for chatting and mucking around with the chat bubble animations (remember those guys that made weeds and bj animation? those cracked me up all the time :D ) The hackzors pretty much ruined the game. Man Dreamcast was a perfect console, the only one that let you play online globally. I think Saturn also had dial up modem but only available in Japan.

JeeTeeEss25Tee thats good to here.

There was a modem for the Saturn called the "Net-Link" it was also avaliable in the US.

It had about 3 games on launch. Daytona USA netlink edition and the other 2 evade me at the moment.

If you don't have shenmue 2 get it. Get the dreamcast version if you can.

It's a truely beautiful game. Even made me cry. haha.

And PSO god i loved that game. It was so good on the dreamcast.

I had a bunch of regulars i played with.

Thos animations were great. Some very clever ones there were.

I still play on gamecube a bit with my brother. Only got up to about level 100 on gamecube, my brother is about 130 or so.

    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
