Ah... yeah, the planet's fine. Weather patterns all normal... sure.

It hailed/snowed pretty decently here this morning. At least I know what ACD setting to use...

nice house.....whats the evo doing outside man? tsk tsk!

yeah, we got heavy hail here in mt waverley too - but probably not as bad as what your experiencing.....

man, i sat up waiting for santa, so I can catch the dude that ate all my oreo cookies - but he didnt show up..... :santa:

Geezus this place sh*ts me........

Spence called from the Sunshine Coast to say he was sipping a coldie with just a light beading of sweat on his brow. Just warm enough to make the beer even more enjoyable.

as far as i'm concerned, it can rain and snow for the rest of 06/07 :)

get the dams back up and also give us some snow to ski on this coming season! didn't go up one day last year, wasn't worth it :)

i spent 7 days in november this year in gold coast, it was the most miserable week i had in ages...

the so called sunshine state did not produce anything but thunderous storms pissing hail on our rental car, relentless grey skies with rain and all the while a yucky humidity that sweats the most cold blooded...

i will take the unpredictable melb weather anytime...

Exactly the same as 5 of the 7 days I spent there in Feb of this year. 2 days of glorious sun and sat at the pool then a low pressure system sat off the coast of Fraser Island for over a week, with the first 5 days of that being my holiday! Happily take Melbourne anyday. :)

When we got to QLD in march (the day after the SAU GOR cruise which took place in some amazing weather) there was nothing but storms for the first 5 or so days of my trip. All the beaches etc were closed...was awesome stuff :)

It was all you pathetic *Ricks deserved. 'Sif we'd want to waste good Queensland weather on mexicans. That's the time for rain to convince you all to stay here. Qld Premier is going to slap a tax on the old folks coming up from down south to pay for their amenities.

I'll happily think of you all as I'm getting my blood temps back above that of a stone in the high alps in winter.

Remember I've had 6-1/2 years to utterly despise the weather down here. Not some hopeless week away.

I do remember my final winter in ACT. Beautiful snow drifting down......enough to pull out the board and slip in a couple of runs down the back yard.

Enjoy....losers!! Deep in your hearts you all know how crap it is here. No-one with a clue comes to Melbourne for a fantastic beach holiday.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
