Welcome aboard - you'll have a blast!

As far as tips go...

1. 300s go better with the t-tops off and better still if the driver has a Bandit hat or mo

2. Use your stereo to psych-out opponents on the battle runs

3. Don't hit cones

4. Bax will never beat the Lancer!

hey guys I have renewed my Cams licence as of about 3 weeks ago but they haven't sent me a new card or debited my credit card... I am getting a little nervous as I don't want to rock up to DECA empty handed... does anyone have a contact at Cams I can speak to?

This is their phone number is Malvern - (03) 9593 7777

Call and speak to someone in licensing.

Also Nick, Im not sure if they allow it, you'd have to ask, but if it helps you any I can pick up your license for you and bring to DECA (I drive past twice a day ).

your always quick to respond and organised Bec... I need you at work!

I will call and check out the status of my licence and let you know... cheers:)

Nick - 9593 7777

Call and ask for membership services. Usually they can at the worst fax you something that you can use to say you have renewed.

Cheers

Snowy

That James fella is a cb hoarder. He's got 2 of mine as well.

I second that as I had to ask for mine back! Probably a secret stash at the mansion which is why he has so many to offer at subsequent cruises! :P:laugh:

Something to note for DECA's from now on.

As part of AASA's Public Liability Requirements SAU now has to provide a full list of all licence numbers from all entrants on the day.

This should always be the case anyway, but if you fail to produce your licence on the day for us to record the number, then you will not be permitted to drive. If you are signing up for a licence on the day this is fine also, but please be prepared and bring a completed AASA or CAMS club racing licence application form and correct money.

Thanks.

Also if you have written TBA on your entry form and you now know your licence number or can get you licence number, wheather it be CAMS or AASA, can you please PM me this number before Thursday night? This will make things run a little smoother at registration, and get you all out on the skidpan quicker.

Ta, Chris.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
