The Best Fuel Type For Your Skyline R33

What type of fuel do you guys recommend for a 1997 skyline r33 series II? I usually use the unleaded from caltex and sometimes the one from safeway unleaded.

BP ULTIMATE way to go i reckon

if not then anything premium preferably for imports

I use shell vpower racing. In my road r33 and in our race r33. But both cars have been tuned on it. Best pump fuel around, cheapest for the octane rating it has.

Can make it run a little leaner though...

I second BP ultimate and Vpower racing from shell... both top fuels but i think the v power is a bit better

I have to run mine 98 octane with the Central20 ECU, but made a hudge differance in my car.

Well from fuel studies Vortex 98 is the most powerful enhancment on RWKWS .. It flows through the engine faster though and supposedly cleans it very well!

Racing fuel from shell is the top of the top but hard to get, it also dies quickly supposedly flementing about 4 days after full tank. Obviously making the car yuk and prob making the insides the same!

Shell V power is good for mileage and has good power it comes just below Vortex at a 3kw decrease but u seem to have a hell of alot more of it for your $60-$80 fill up!

Yea i've heard the same thing about shells fuels... apparently they have a storage life of 15 days or something from when the truck puts it in the servo tanks lol but its still good fuel none the less..

what octane is the shell v-power stuff? that hasnt been in use for too long at the pumps in adelaide so im interested to know, as for what i run my car on currently........20:1 Bp Ultimate and Toluene

i use mobil 98octane shit...that purple coloured one..on my na 34

costs a fortune to fill up :S

Caltex 98 for mileage,

Shell 98 for performance.

Won't touch BP as it just back fires and misses and coughs and sputters. Shit fuel.

In Brisbane doesnt all the fuel come out of the same refinery, which is BP.

I use BP ultimate and shell Vpower.

I really dont notice the difference.

my car was tuned while using bp ultimate, is it a bad idea to try another fuel, or should i just keep using bp

for me,

mobil 8000 = no

vortex = in an emergency

BPultimate = pretty darn good and always used

Vpower (optimax replacement) = used twice and prefer over bp now

Can't tell the difference between mobil 8000, bp ultimate and shell v-power....(maybe I should gun it from time to time)

Psychologically I prefer mobil 8000 and VERY much dislike shell, but I've been using bp a lot since I own the car.

bp ultimate or if i cant get that i use premium with octane booster....but the best is avgas
