LOL, thanks Jason... now i just need to get me some external gate action and 300+ rwkw and i might be able to keep up with you! That thing sound tuff when boostin hard, could hear you plant it when you were 50 metres behind me

haha yeah...just about need earplugs  I had a bit of a boost problem and didn't even realise until the last stretch. It wasn't even giving me 1bar. Had a max of .98 even when we were running together flat to the floor in 4th :P running a bit lower than it should be. Might be time to book it in for a retune.

That was a great weekend guys. It was good to meet so many great people and see so many wicked cars. Congrats and thank you to all involved for a tops event.

I'll put some pix up tomorrow, I'm so not motivated now.

Cheers

haha that r33 GTR was scary

You left a big gap behind me and then rushed up very quickly behind me on the GOR :P

A nice sight in the rear view mirror no doubt :P

I was lovin' the tight twisty stuff, it seems as if that what GT-R's are built for..... those Evo's are a pretty handy piece of gear too....

When the traffic got a bit too much i just backed well off, made my own space, then rejoined the group. Was great fun

Thanks to everyone who organised this one, had an awesome time and looking forward to seeing you all again. I'll try and make it to the meetings from now on, lets see some of the video footage at the next meeting eh!

Looks like everyone out there had a ball and by all reports another successful GOR cruise for 2007.

Thanks to Paul, Mav and Al for heading up the event. I unfortuantely had prior engagements but would have loved to come on the cruise because as Ash said, this is the biggest, longest and best cruise which SAU-Vic run every year!

If you missed out and haven't been on one yet, I think everyone who has been on one will agree with me when I say it's something that you HAVE to do at some time.

its ace when the local see nearly 30 skylines pull into town

very cool and exciting, the locals come out to check them out.

each car has its own unique sound. there was some confused people at apolo bay when we started parking on the pier. well worth it though

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
