hahah i kept thinking the same thing Troy. Watching it i'm going, wow he's moving... then i timed him and thought shit, i'm (hopefully) going to be going faster haha...

It is the Nation's premier power track afterall . . . . Hehe, I don't know if I'd bother turning up even if I HAD money or a gearbox in My car ! ! Neeeed POWWWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHH ! !

hmmm, manifold pressure compensating Fuel regs on ebay for $120, looks interesting . . . . . ;)

Strange. I was looking at that lap and thinking man he is flying. And braked way later then me over the back. yeh he was 4 secodns slower. Hmm, maybe i will be lucky to wipe off half a second :)

I swear I would have made up 2 seconds of my 3.5 second improvement there last time just by getting some more balls on the back straight... hairy stuff though! Great fun :D

Sandown is still great without a lot of power, and the time can be made up... a little ;)

Hardman: Nigel was only 1.5 seconds quicker than me in the 450rwkw Supra last time we went. Not sure if he was running full power or not, but it sure looked quick on the straights!

hahaha i don't expect to be anywhere near snowy or jack, first time out and lack of skill, you know.... Should be fun tho, i'm getting pumped....

Ferni,

You and I are line ball on nearly every track. Look for a low 23 and you know you would have had a good day.

Best of luck.

Andrew

I noticed the same thing... at least we have each other to chace, screw these guys doing sub 20's around sandown...

Got the car ready on sunday, can't wait to get out there, little bit nervous even though I'm doing driver training lol.

Yeah you'll be nervous just before you go out, once you're out there it will all just come to you, and you'll start having fun

Well done Ferni, a 1.22 is really moving.

    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
    • Continental have consistently beaten the absolute shit out of every other performance tyre in Wet/Damp/Cold conditions and give up a little bit of time (half a second at most) in the dry. Almost like it's engineered for German conditions or something. I'd def give those a try.
    • I refer you to this thread on PF, by someone who knows what he's doing. Paints a good picture of the humble AD09.
    • Ha, I've never pressed the X in all these years incase it removed the notification for all Admins
    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
