Oh and who were those 2 32's that turned at Amity Street on the way down Cockburn Rd????

Cheers, you got like 6 people lost, I went home after seeing how long it would take to get to Kallamunda

I didnt get to buy and raffle tickets, but I am sure the cruise made a fair bit for charity, some generous people out there :bunny:

Yeah that was me with the R33 with blue neon lights booting it down west coast highway i slowed down shit loads

when i saw then i didnt think they would of got me but they did.

Hi everyone.

A massive thank you to Perths Performance Scene for attending last night. The support was awesome. Selling maps alone we raised over $700. Plus money from the raffle tickets which shall be counted and drawn today. I could not believe the huge turn out. Thank you once again.

A big thanks goes out to Lucy for organising all the prizes for the raffle and for organising the Starlight foundation Charity pack for the car club. She put alot of time and effort into organising them and I appreciate her help. Thank you Lucy :bunny:

I'd also like to thank the SAUWA committee members for their help with the cruise as well. Especially Sasha for coming with me at 12am to drive the cruise; walking around the outside of Fremantle prison at 1am to check what roads came in and out of the car park was a little daunting after reading all the haunted experiences people has witnessed there! I'm glad I wont have to be reading about the paranormal again anytime soon

Once again thank you guys.

I look forward to seeing you at the next cruise

Kind Regards,

Dan

SAUWA

Awesome cruise everyone. The first meet point blew me away. Ive neevr been to anything like that. Thanks heaps to all the organisers you have done our club proud. Hi to all the peeps i met on the night. I was in stealth in the silver aero top supra. Cant wait for the next one. hopefully my baby will be fixed.

P.S. black 4 door 34 and white wrx no spoiler. Thanks for the company on the south st roe highway run. I lost every one! how do you lose 200 cars *scratches head*

Dan, never caught up with you in the end (blue r34)! get back to me via email if possible. Great turnout and cruise guys. Well done

Nice to meet you. I'm sorry I didnt get to chat. I was a little stressed out! I'll email you this week about membership >_<

Well that was good >_< Thanks Dan, and everyone else that helped organise and run the cruise. Besides the large number of cars that turned up (making exiting near impossible) i had a great time

I'll be at the next cruise..

George

Glad you had a good time mate >_<

Was a good cruise, must have made a lot of money for the starlight foundation judging by how many people came out! The leg from omni to freo was good, apart from the sneaky police with their handheld radar along the route (could see them from a mile away though so np for me there). Then the weather came down, which was fun and with all the fog around made it very spooky especially on those mountain turns... I kept waiting for some local wildlife to pop out of nowhere. Great job at organising this cruise guys (and gals)! Glad to see people actually behaved for once at the meetpoints.

p.s. lol @ the girls in the white 4 door r33 who went past the pub leading people astray, I wonder how far you would have kept going if we didn't stop you :bunny: dw though you weren't the only ones to get lost

hahaha yea the fog added to the eerinessof the night. Made for difficult driving though :(

Good cruise and good turnout. Accidently turned into the graylands hospital, drove past one of the wards which scared the living crap out of the girlfriend coz she saw a mental patient knocking on the windows in one of the rooms hahaha. Other than that good too see alot of ppl were out to support a good cause.

hahaha really? oh stuff that. I got the shivers just driving past let alone driving in there.

hey guys,

it was a great cruise ... great turn out .. crazy so many cars at starting point ... loved it!!!!

Congrates to everyone who helped organised this cruise and to everyone taking part in this cruise! I can believe the first turnout but i cant believe how good nearly everyone acted!!! that was amazing! i never been on a skylines cruise and seeing how nice alot of them are in perth makes me wanna cry hahaha heading up to kalamunda i was following a blue r34 and a r33??? then i over took them ad started leading and out of nowhere A ROO jumped out at me the cheeky bastard, slammed my brakes on and turn left and i miss the roo but about an inch! it scared the shit out of me and my gf haha

we found it really interesting reading up on all the places we drove past i think that made it a lil more fun!

caltex petrol station at 12am FTW!!!!!

yo, what mccas man? someone said there's a 24 hours mccas down the road from last stop... can't find~~ end up going Vic Park ones

got breath tested by the tallest cop I've ever seen lol... gota crane up my neck to reach his hands with the breathalyser

slipery everyone went slow, a a tad foggy, I don't like last stop...scrape by front bar big time

yeh was that at the freo leg? the other cop said to me stop at the tallest bloke in the world...then i looked out the window and was like holy sh*t

It was a really awesome turnout for skylienes. Nice to see the different things people have done mods-wise. Syde FX, nice to see you get your lights back, was hoping you would before the next meet point, also really glad you didn't clean up one of those roos! I was in the r34 and there was a whole string of hoppys coming thorugh that fog. The 33 that was behind you is a mate of mine.

i liked freo the amount of cars we had going up and down the strip ahah. I didnt like the freo prison lower car park tho bit of scrapage there saw everyone coping it

Oh and who were those 2 32's that turned at Amity Street on the way down Cockburn Rd????

Cheers, you got like 6 people lost, I went home after seeing how long it would take to get to Kallamunda :pwned:

Hey, we didn't get lost. We just missed the turn off on the map. Made it to Kalamunda safe and sound (and we weren't the last cars there). If you guys had read your map instead of following the cars in front of you, then you'd have been ok. For all you know we could have been going home... Sorry, not having a stab - I just wanted to point that out.

All in all, we had a good night, thanks to the organisers for putting it all together and everyone who brought their cars out despite the weather.

Massive turnout, way bigger than I expected for sure! Great to see so much money being raised as well for a good cause, and that just about everyone was well behaved. Got to Kalamunda Pub just as the rest were moving on haha, but I think the cruise split up into about 4 groups so people were always cruising together which is good :D

Apologies to Nizmo for blinding you with my headlights on the way to Omni and to Sash & Dan on Roe Highway :pwned: If I could make them not as bright I would.

what she said... :pwned:

i knew exactly where we were going.... in the end only 1 car followed us to Roe highway, but by the time we got to turned off Welshpool road we had about half a dozen cars behind us.... so we can't have been too far behind?

btw, i'll be putting up some of the handful of photos i took.... wasn't going nuts with the camera, i think i only have about 26 shots i'm happy enough to put online...

I think almost everyone will have something negative to say, but lets look at the positive... its was a great night all in all, we raised a heap of money that is going to a fantastic cause, and basically the whole group was very well behaved. I would call it a great success for import clubs and a well planned event.

Thanks to all the SAUWA committee for organising this... especially one guy inparticular... you know who you are :pwned:

bring on the next one!

My wife and I had an absolute ball - it was really good to finally put some faces to names. Especially Gary, Paul and Lauren. I am still blown away by how friendly everyone is, even though I didn't get a chance to rub my cheek against Dans smooth hairless chest :pwned:

To the guy in the blue R33 with white wheels (nice ride!) that got rear ended in Wellington St by the 180 - I was stuck in traffic so I couldn't stop, but I saw the whole thing and if you need a witness drop me a PM.

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
