last time I was driving back from fuji speedway to tokyo I was pushing on at about 140 or so pretty much the whole way and most cars were doing between 110 and 140... and this was an 80kmh zone! (but it's a big wide freeway, i have nfi why it's marked 80km).

should have done >180 man.. u know the cops can't catch ya if u go faster than 180?

v8 *grunt*grunt*

lol, yeah I heard that on fast and furious. i will try it out next time. it's crazy over there. the freeways are so nice, yet near the city they are limited at 80kph. having said that I didn't see a single car going under 100 and my friend who was driving his car in convoy with me musn't have dropped below 140 the whole time. he can be forgiven though as his car doesn't have a speedo.

I hate it when, you drive past a group of ppl and they go "RIP IT RIP IT.. DO A BURN OUT!! "

f**kin go get a life.. go rip yourself..

N i also hate it, when you are a set of lights, and a car full of ppl yell shit out to you..

This one time, at a set of lights(night time), with my windows up (very dark tints), i had some dickhead in the car next to me yellin race me idiot.. race me.. Even call me an idiot..

Some ppl are just asking to get hit..

I know there are heaps off cops with imports.. Im waitin for that day when they do something to them, and the guy who comes out of the import is a cop!! ohh would have loved to see that..

just rev your engine and let them take off like a dick, when u catch up with them at the next set of light (if they are still alive) tell you,"yeah you're a big man, you beat me like SOOO badly" make sure its dripping with sarcasm

too many occasions to list but heres 2 i like...

when im crusing, sometimes even 70 in a 80 zone(its a speed LIMIT) and i see someone doing like 100 coming up behind me then instead of continuing there average speed past me they slow down to my speed right next to me,

drops back a gear and start playing with the throttle.usually its bogan vl's and 4 banger FWD's

or because i have an auto that shifts quick and hard, everyone must think im trying to race off the lights because it shifts quick. so they come flying past me like 1km later staring at me like they just kicked my ass in a race.

conclusion:

all those tossers want to do is go home and tell there mates they beat a skyline.

I agree. personally i just think it's coz everyone in sydney's in a big fkn hurry. when i'm up in qld, people are much nicer on the road. but in my experience, commodore drivers are the worst offenders. they are so aggressive - always pushing in, they have to be the car in front no matter what the speed limit, no thankyou waves when u let them in, doing random stupid sh#t likes burnouts/illegally parking . the frustrating thing is that commodores are the most common unmarked police cars, so i rarely beep them :domokun:

Man I rant about Sydney traffic to myself and everyone who cares to listen everyday! For me it's Camry drivers who are the absolute worst. Whenever I see them on the road, my senses highten like a hunter approaching a dangerous animal - I slow right down, and leave massive gaps between me and their cars. You never quite know what they'll decide to do.

They might decide to:

* change lanes without looking to see if there is any space - in peak f**king hour traffic!

* drive an entire journey at night with their highbeams on

* drive an entire journey at night with their lights off

* drift lanes

* come into a roundabout when you are already there and heading straight for them

* spend two minutes on an onramp trying to merge with traffic backing up

* and my favorite - reverse on a whim.

Totally oblivious to everyone else on the road, yes they scare me...

how bout these ones,

coming down the big hill on epping road 80k zone, 3 lanes, im in the right lane, this terrible terrible driver pulls in to the right lane going up the hill close in front of me and proceeeded to crawl up the hill at 30km/h, i had to slam on the brakes so i didnt hit the dumass, other 2 lanes free...i thought maybe they're turning right at the top but noooo...they merge back into the middle lane at the top.

next on jenkins rd, another hero comes round the round about signals right as im just approaching it and proceeds to go all the way round and turn left nearly causing 2 accidents on the way from both directions.

nother doofus i'll never forget. we're on the main road in terrigal and theres a queue we're infront of the driveway exit from the beach carpark, and this guy leans out of his bogandore and starts abusing us saying "learn to drive, dont queue infront of intersections!" i put on my serious face and pointed out it was a driveway and he shut the hell up after that. GOLD

Sydney drivers are generally shit..- Elderly who should be in the left lane and left alone but end up the the right lane... also all the idiots in the 2 right lanes going 5kmh under the limit and won't move left... the pissheads who swerve around... wannabe gangsters trying to be hard and driving like tools, clueless idiots with no situational awareness and generally other jaded individuals and f**kwits and speeding coppers. MAKES ME WANNA BUY A HELICOPTER!!!

I've only had about 5 cases of near-miss-by-idiots in the last few years but this last week I've had about 5, from people changing lanes into me 100kmh+ to idiots in roundabouts trying to go in front of you at full blast when you've already passed them in the roundabout.... terrible :|

lol

happens to me a lot but even in my shitbox 31.

what i do is i barely get in the other lane (barely missing their sidemirrors) and go past yelling like a crazy drunk bastard, and cut in front and hit the brakes.

hold down the horn and flash lights.. or cut past them yelling like a crazy drunk bastard like in my previous post.

Thought I would have my rant as well

The other day I was driving to Burwood westfield. I had come along Parramatta Rd from the M3 where I had been stuck behind this guy in a Toyota Camry Alteise *well excuse me* :glare: doing 40km/h in the 60km/h. He had been slamming on his brakes for no reason, not indicating where he was going and then this happened!

He had pulled into the right turn only lane (the first one) just outside Burwood westfield and was about 30m ahead of me when he did so. Just as the front of my car had almost lined up with the back of his, he decided to pull out because he didn't want to turn right any more, once again without indicating and obviously NOT LOOKING! I had the ABS come on and chirped the tyres a little to come to a stop, yell abuse at him, toot my pathetic excuse for a Skyline horn *lol* and give him a magic flash.

Thankyou ABS and the ability to actually be able to drive my car unlike this twat :):(:(:(

one time i was travelling towards the city going past the balmain club thing on vic road, and at the top of the hill towards the intersection, this car just cuts past in front of me from the far left lane all the way across 4 lanes into the right turning lane. what i did was hit the brakes and think 'what a kunt' (standard reaction), then coughed up some awesome flem and spat a direct hit on the passenger window and it was quite massive and runny (as u can probably tell, i was proud of that golly).

these shitkunt drivers need to be taught a lesson.

my road rage causes me to fling things at other cars, spit, swear, flash lights and hold down the horn for an excessive time (eventually pissing off the shitkunt driver).

I can't stand dumbshit drivers.

that is all.

I find that being anywhere near 4WD vehicles around Syd is totally f**ked.. these motherf**kers think they own the friggin road.. if you happen to be behind them, ya can't see shit ahead and, at night.. because their lights are up high, they blind the crap out of you if ya happen to be in front of one.... they should have their own lanes :whistling::rant:

    • I had 3 counts over the last couple of weeks once where i got stranded at a jdm paint yard booking in some work. 2nd time was moving the car into the drive way for the inspection and the 3rd was during the inspection for the co2 leak test. Fix: 1st, car off for a hour and half disconnected battery 10mins 4th try car started 2nd, 5th try started 3rd, countless time starting disconnected battery dude was under the hood listening to the starting sequence fuel pump ect.
    • This. As for your options - I suggest remote mounting the Nissan sensor further away on a length of steel tube. That tube to have a loop in it to handle vibration, etc etc. You will need to either put a tee and a bleed fitting near the sensor, or crack the fitting at the sensor to bleed it full of oil when you first set it up, otherwise you won't get the line filled. But this is a small problem. Just needs enough access to get it done.
    • The time is always correct. Only the date is wrong. It currently thinks it is January 19. Tomorrow it will say it is January 20. The date and time are ( should be ! ) retrieved from the GPS navigation system.
    • Buy yourself a set of easy outs. See if they will get a good bite in and unthread it.   Very very lucky the whole sender didn't let go while on the track and cost you a motor!
    • Well GTSBoy, prepare yourself further. I did a track day with 1/2 a day prep on Friday, inpromptu. The good news is that I got home, and didn't drive the car into a wall. Everything seemed mostly okay. The car was even a little faster than it was last time. I also got to get some good datalog data too. I also noticed a tiny bit of knock which was (luckily?) recorded. All I know is the knock sensors got recalibrated.... and are notorious for false knock. So I don't know if they are too sensitive, not sensitive enough... or some other third option. But I reduced timing anyway. It wasn't every pull through the session either. Think along the lines of -1 degree of timing for say, three instances while at the top of 4th in a 20 minute all-hot-lap session. Unfortunately at the end of session 2... I noticed a little oil. I borrowed some jack stands and a jack and took a look under there, but as is often the case, messing around with it kinda half cleaned it up, it was not conclusive where it was coming from. I decided to give it another go and see how it was. The amount of oil was maybe one/two small drops. I did another 20 minute session and car went well, and I was just starting to get into it and not be terrified of driving on track. I pulled over and checked in the pits and saw this: This is where I called it, packed up and went home as I live ~20 min from the track with a VERY VERY CLOSE EYE on Oil Pressure on the way home. The volume wasn't much but you never know. I checked it today when I had my own space/tools/time to find out what was going on, wanted to clean it up, run the car and see if any of the fittings from around the oil filter were causing it. I have like.. 5 fittings there, so I suspected one was (hopefully?) the culprit. It became immediately apparent as soon as I looked around more closely. 795d266d-a034-4b8c-89c9-d83860f5d00a.mp4       This is the R34 GTT oil sender connected via an adapter to an oil cooler block I have installed which runs AN lines to my cooler (and back). There's also an oil temp sensor on top.  Just after that video, I attempted to unthread the sensor to see if it's loose/worn and it disintegrated in my hand. So yes. I am glad I noticed that oil because it would appear that complete and utter catastrophic engine failure was about 1 second of engine runtime away. I did try to drill the fitting out, and only succeeded in drilling the middle hole much larger and now there's a... smooth hole in there with what looks like a damn sleeve still incredibly tight in there. Not really sure how to proceed from here. My options: 1) Find someone who can remove the stuck fitting, and use a steel adapter so it won't fatigue? (Female BSPT for the R34 sender to 1/8NPT male - HARD to find). IF it isn't possible to remove - Buy a new block ($320) and have someone tap a new 1/8NPT in the top of it ($????) and hope the steel adapter works better. 2) Buy a new block and give up on the OEM pressure sender for the dash entirely, and use the supplied 1/8 NPT for the oil temp sender. Having the oil pressure read 0 in the dash with the warning lamp will give me a lot of anxiety driving around. I do have the actual GM sensor/sender working, but it needs OBD2 as a gauge. If I'm datalogging I don't actually have a readout of what the gauge is currently displaying. 3) Other? Find a new location for the OEM sender? Though I don't know of anywhere that will work. I also don't know if a steel adapter is actually functionally smart here. It's clearly leveraged itself through vibration of the motor and snapped in half. This doesn't seem like a setup a smart person would replicate given the weight of the OEM sender. Still pretty happy being lucky for once and seeing this at the absolute last moment before bye bye motor in a big way, even if an adapter is apparently 6 weeks+ delivery and I have no way to free the current stuck/potentially destroyed threads in the current oil block.
