I can hand them back to ya mate if you really want them?

And Timmy, do you really think so? I thought when we used to chat in the car you said I was really smooth? Or were you referring to something else? Maybe my chest? Or with the laaaaadiies?

Rock hard Ab's... and the ladies... Hmm

No you are very gentle with Betty and she rewards you... I mis our chats sometimes...

Anyone know where to buy Volk the cheapest? TE37 is still the stongest wheel available, their later stuff pales next to them.

OTR in melb got mine for 3550. 18x10.5 +15

They are sex

Only to run the Mini slicks  I really want Baron and Bel180s, they are 17x9 +21s !

Mine are even fitted with Mini slicks at the moment ;)

Thats f**kin drug money. I'm OUT!

The boy is putting carbon guards over them as well. Along with a carbon roof he is making for his GTSt!

Thats even more drug money gone!

I'd just do a heap of speed and lose 10kg's. More fun

don't worry buddy. my set of weds are still pristine in their boxes. and if I ever get rid of them I promise they will go to you. :D they look so nice. thinking of ditching the TE37s on teh new car in favour of teh weds if they clear my F50s and 355mm rotors (they should).

I haven't Chris sorry!

Now, what about this? Yes, I know it's a 4 door, but does anyone know what brand these rear flares are?

Those flares are available from an import crowd down at southport ben. I bought a set a while back and didnt go through with it, opting for the 400 r flares.

Wished i had'nt now as I too am looking to widen the track and jam 295.s under my gtst.

Just waiting for the hankooks to arrive.

The name of that shop on the coast escapes me atm but when i think of it I'll post it up for ya.

Thanks Noel, appreciated. I still like the look of them.

Cammo from Cameron's bodyworks says he's running 285s on same offset on his 32 drifter, quoted well under $1k to pump and paint. "It's a stretch but not that hard" were his words......

For those running the mini slicks, how long are they taking you to get them up to temp? For the price and reported tread depth they seem like awesome value but I'm planning on attending some super sprints at Winton and worried that I wont have enough time to get them up to temp.

Mine are 95% there on the first flying lap (at Lakeside, 60 odd second flyer, usually about 100 seconds on a warm up).

I am quite aggressive on the warm up though, and I also warm the fronts a little by working the brakes.

Will be real interesting to see how it all pans out. I cant fit 18 x 9.5 +18 with 265/35/18s under mine and i paid bloody good money to get my guards pumped as much as humanly possible before respraying the guards (and the rest of the car for that matter) Will be a little cross if for $1000 you get all your guards pumped to suit big rubber

what you have is definatly not as far as possible. a mate of mine had his done with a roller and would stick out a good 50mm over the body width.

But how does it look? Is it just a big lip at the top of the guard, or has the whole guard been pumped to try and keep std look/proportions, but closer to GTR etc. I didnt want that drift spec lipped guard...

Because with wide tyres it may clear with rock hard suspension but was concerned that over the stroke of the suspension I would still be cutting tyres. So tried to pull the whole guard out and put a bit of a flare on it. Here it is with the 18x9.5 +12 with 265/35/18 semi slicks

Maybe i was expecting too much by not wanting the drift spec lip, which would look a bit silly given the ride height i run my car at! I suspect we are talking different things and therefore different results?!?!?!?

I think since 255s are as about as wide as they go with 17" semis then I may just stick with a 9" or 9.5" in around +22 offset. Will wait to see all you other folk think of your little GTSts being quicker/slower with the extra weight of the 18" rim and wider semi...(not to mention anal sepage over cost)

yep drift lip but id be thinking thats what woolster will be getting to.

but thinking about it has joged my memory of a bloke that has recently gone to 18s on a gtst. hes running 265 on a 9.5 inch rim are around the +20-30 range.

i wondered why his guards had such a "hight" rolled lip but now i realise why.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
