I won't buy one or get my licence simply because I may well be tempted to push just that little bit too hard one day and come off worse for wear! And there's also the factor of too many drivers who are barely able to give a sh!t about anyone else on the road, let alone those on bikes...

I've spent too much time in hospital in my life to want to tempt that fate again! I'd love to own and ride a bike, but won't do it. For me the risk outweighs the benefits.

I do have a few friends who ride though, so if you need people to ride with let me know.

Ramses - forget his user name - and I go riding sometimes. He has an R1. Doughboy has a 924 Fireblade. There's a few others.

I have fears for your safety Haysey cos you're a mad bastard - but that's also why I like you. Just remember to ride like every car is TRYING to kill you. I have in fact had a car take aim and TRY to hit me but I had a funny feeling about him and the way he was looking at me as I approached so I was prepared and just got out of the way in time.

I have/Had (still broken from last crash) a VFR 800 with 118 rwHp and the thing hauled ass, other then teh fearing all engine is custom built with stuff form the US. Crashed it 2 years ago at 140k.hr plusss, bike totaled, still rebuilding. I'm fine, but i have had an accident before and took 2 years to put me back together. LOL.

LOVE BIKES

Craved rides a bike.. Every time I get tempted to get my licence for one, I just remember what happened to him and a few other friends of mine and decide I'm not going to get a bike while still living in Sydney..

I wasn't going to mention craved cos I thought he still wasn't riding. Is his bike finished now?

That's insane. I didn't realise that stuff happened!

Yep, he was planning on riding to work today.. I think it is the first long rider since being back together.. looks hawt now, you should see the colour he painted it ;)

haha thanks mate ill take that as a compliment, ive had a dirt bike for years so i know how to ride pretty well, and everyone ive spoken to says road bikes are eaiser to ride than dirt bikes (minus the cars)... but i go to work at non peak times, either early morning, or middle of the day.. so i kinda never have to face the road ragers stuck in traffic....

ill feel much better after purchasing all my gear, even myself didnt realise there was so much protection built into leathers and kevlar stitched pants! who woulda thought.......

I'll definately have a different attitude to riding on the road from driving... no big cage around me to protect from morons :)

That being said, up for a SAU bike meetup in a few weeks ;)

I've had one, but can't be trusted on it. nor can I trust sydney drivers not to kill me. A good friend of mine got a bike and her boyfriend got one too. she got into an accident in the nasho and was badly hurt. another friend of mine had his bike writted off by a mate who was riding it in the high 200kp/h range (in NT before the limits). He then crashed his hayabusa at about 160, destroyed his gear but just a broken wrist for him. another friend died on one whilst I was in high school. as much as I love bikes there is just so much potential for carnage on them :(

after all that... enjoy :)

I've got a road registered 650cc Dirt Bike, only ever ride it in and out of Sydney these days. Used to ride around a lot, peak hour commuting for a couple of years, but decided I didn't want to die on a motorbike because of someone else's mistake. In a Skyline by my own mistake would be much more fun.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
