Parked in Earlwood was this F355 GTS - still one of the prettiest (and by far one of the best sounding) Ferraris ever made IMO.

funny story about that one :) that poor F355 is the biggest lemon made for city driving (typical early 90's ferarri) :P always see him broken down in petersham, fanning the bonnet :P can't expect a supercar like that to do well in traffic conditions though

completely agree with the look and sound though, actually looks like a ferrari unlike more current models :)

Really... Man I thought by that stage ('94-'99) they were more or less pretty robust, much better than earlier models 456 and 348. All relative I suppose. "always fanning the bonnet" lol

Fanning the bonnet?

Engine is in the boot, and fanning wouldn't make a difference.

They arn't known to over-heat in traffic (not to say that it wouldn't but it is about a 15 year old car now...)

I spotted a Ferrari of some description tonight on Fitzwilliam Road in Toongabbie, of all places. I almost wouldn't have noticed it at all if I didn't have my window down as it drove past, but that sound is unmistakeable and I then looked in the mirror to see the tail lights.

Hmmm, today I saw a dark blue Maserati in roughly the same spot along Fitzwilliam Rd, so I'm wondering if it's the same person as last time.

Spotted this beauty in Hurstville.... worship.gif

It went up for sale last week, I don't know what the owner is doing with it? So far I have seen it all over sydney and others have seen it around as well so i'd imagine it has quite a lot of km's on it already for a car that was complied this year and first registered on the 19th of January (nearly 3 months old and already up for sale).

Maybe the owner realised he couldn't afford the repayments on a riced up version of an exotic? The white is different and good in it's own right, but it doesn't show off the lines and curves of the car, and the black roof just looks stupid, it is just paint not carbon fibre or anything special.

A great car that has been molested (and only 3 months old :/ ) Poor car

awww, what a waste! Makes you think what kind of other cars his/her has wasted.

Not really a supercar, but the engine is anyway.

Picked up a new daily driver yesterday, got rid of the Nazi CLS for an Alies made car.

6.0 litre W12 cylinder twin turbo.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
