haha, once P platers start owning a model, or if they get modified by rajab or those barbi guys, they should be gracefully withdrawn from supercar-dom.

Don't be quoting me about not appreciating. The time and cost of spent getting my car bare metal resprayed, all the mods etc are unrecoverable. you want to buy it? $70K - it's yours.

Bottom line - old technology, better cars now.

well no shit sherlock...a 2007 performance car VS a 1989 performance car in technology....geee, hmmmm, yeh i wonder which would have more advanced technology.

and i WILL quote u about 'not aprreciating', because i refuse to believ u truly appreciate the skyline. sounds like u wasted ur money resrpraying and modding ur gtr...u shoulda purchased a nice new car with all the fantastic new technology and safety features.

Its built off a passenger car. How can it be a "supercar", which should have a bespoke platform?

The only true supercar made by a big Japanese car manufacturer is the NSX.

My biased opinion...hondas are gay....

its a shame the NSX lacks supercar performance...

the nsx-S Zero and nsx-R are the exceptions...

LOL...nope. Still Hondas so still gay

Maybe if they had all that technology in an alloy bodied 4.5L V8 sports car...then it would be ok :) S2000 shoud at least have a 3l V6. Look at their F1 team and tell me they have a clue what they are doing :(

Actually, i think i will stop before getting banned or sacked from my job for wasting time...all because im bored. Interesting that the Skylien made the Top 10. I love mt Nissans but the ZED shoud have been on that list before the Skyline!

oh come off it Roy. With the exception of toyota, Honda was the force to be reckoned with in the late 80s and early 90s..

we both know producing an engine that goes like stink and a complete car that goes like stink are two VERY different things..

is it ok if the F1 boys start whoring the thread? :sorcerer:

Honda shoudl stick with building engines. That they can do. Running a GP team or building an exciting car???? Some Euro fella should tell Honda Execs that it needs to be at least 3.0L if its going to do anything in the streaight line department with all the weight they have to carry these days

Now Chev and the Corvette...yeh baby

What a co-inkidence... next DECA then Brisby? I'll even let you hold an extra steering wheel in the passenger seat and pretend you were driving.

Not a real survey. The great Aussie sportscar is missing. V8 ute with a massive gas guzzling DONK!!

Ooops, iron block so it can't make it.

Can't believe Marcus is on the rags. Mr Nice usually. The GTR must getting to him........

now where exactly do you draw the line between super car, sports car and MUSCLE car..??:(

now where exactly do you draw the line between super car, sports car and MUSCLE car..??

Meh, today the line is right here. Tomorrow over there, somewhre else another day :)

But sports car is built on its own platform and is built to go fast.

Supercar is built on a stand alone platform with lots of exotic materials and engineering ensuring that performance isnt compromised by silly stuff like grouns clearance, visibility or price.

Muscle cars and performance cars are things garnished from mass built ho hum cars and tweaked to get the shoppign done in a god awful hurry.

And if anyone bags the RB20, i will mince them up and use their refuse as egine oil. :P

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
