Guys

This course is 50% full, which means we still have a few spots left

So if you'd like to come along (or know someone who might like to come along) please email me to book your spot.

[email protected]

Kind regards

Kev

No timing devices will be provided. its not a sprint day its a driver training day.

Guys

Just so there is no confusion...

This is not a trackday (there will be no high speed laps of the circuit), it's an Advanced Car Control day (ie we will be doing Advanced Car Control exercises)

Have a Happy Christmas :D

Hey Kev,

Do you think I would get much out of a day like this?

I'm sure you can teach me a few tricks...

I'm always open to self improvment.

Would be interested to hear what you think...

Ta, Chris.

    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
    • Keeping in mind that for most people this is a week to month long job!
    • Its also worth mentioning that 30 years after it left the factory and god knows how many missed oil changes since, there is every possibility that one or more lifters are ticking because they are sticky/gummed up. To resolve that you need to pull the cams then pull each lifter, disassemble, clean, reassemble, soak in oil and re-install, and they should come up good as new.
