nothing... just think it rates highly in comedic value... tho whole time he was babbling on about the GT-R being the ooooltimate expression of Nissan's pipe dreams I felt like punching him on the cock.

plus he oversaw the split of the GT-R from the Skyline lineage.

Well ill thank him for seperating the skylines into "GTR" and "the rest", THEN you can punch him

As the title reads, ill be going to the show on Sunday to shoot the GTR. Picked up my DSLR D40X from my friends at Nikon tonight.

im so tempted to have a major dig at Rezz right now.

If there is anything you think i should shoot, let me know. We all know about the shape of the car and the engine specs and diameter of the wheels...

what shots would you like to see? Let me know!

Are there any cars that werent covered in other websites, for example...nah.i wont, like the new Lambo Reventon that you would like to see?

Ill be taking a ton of photos so let me know what you would like to see.

Well there is a rumor that in order to fit the two turbos under the V configuration, nissan had to cast the exhaust manifold & the turbine exhaust housing as one solid piece. Could you see if you can get a photo somehow?

Cheers

ive already told you munkster..im not going to punch Ghosn on the knobend...he might take it the wrong way.

the Reventon is one of the cars ill be taking shots of. I should be able to get shots of the inside of the GTR.

Munkey magic, were you serious about your requests or are you taking the piss out of me as well as Ghosn? :)

well i would love to see the rear mounted transaxle and transfer case, as well as anything from the motor. but I somehow doubt you will get under there. feel free to prove me wrong lol

LOL, if anyone has heard and seen my antics in getting into the paddock at Suzuka last year without a pass will know i am damn capable of Houdini like maneuvers..

Ill see what i can do.

cheers.

There is the cutaway GT-R there which shows it clearly but no closeup pics online yet.

I would be very interested in seeing more of the transaxle and the massive errr "nose shaft" from it!

yeah interesting solution to the nose heaviness problem, I think a couple of cars have gone this way over the years like corvette, maseratti coupe etc. WIll make it a shit load easier to pull the motor in an out (and much harder for the gearbox/diff/xfer case)

Clear pics of the dash

Around the radio controls

Screen controls

Traction controls (that section above the gearknob)

Indicator stalks

Close up of speedo/tacho

Inside glovebox

These are all on the Nissan Press website already:

I was actually quite serious about everything except Ghosn. I wanna see them suzuki girls they're rumoured to be sensational... and the new Honda CR-Z hybrid. Plus the cutout is really cool. one of the other guys took a walk around vid of it, but I'd love to know what turbo's they're using.

yeah sewid's link is awesome. the front and rear subframe detailed shots show that there has been surprisingly little change to the subframe design, they would be 90% the same as 32 gtr, lots of minor improvements obviously but the basic shapes and mountings are the same.

    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
    • To be fair it's the other way around. 300kw is boring in a modern Golf or BMW. They are so competent / well-engineered / devoid of emotion that you have to go stupid fast to feel anything. Whereas the <300kw RB still makes all the right noises and it feels good to drive. Can pull off at the lights with the turbo whooshing and the blow-off pssshing and feel like the coolest kid on the block. Just don't look to the side where you'll see the bored housewifes in their shitbox Yaris/Corolla/Camry that kept up because you didn't go fast at all
    • 300kW is so boring in a Skyline, you'll get spanked by someone's mum's Golf with Alibaba pipes, and an email tune.
