:flamed: sorry mate I just hate it when it feels like people are being arrogant towards my passion in life >> that is, speaking japanese. mannn im gona ace the HSC in 2 and 3 unit jap this year !!! japan here i commmmme :):D:D

About a year ago I didn't know hardly anything about turbos...and i still don't :)

Having only owned your boring beaten up old n/a's, and having own my R33 for less than a year.. the amount of things I have learned in here is phenominal - saved me 1000's probably too over the time both in the purchase of my car and and making intelligent decisions regarding all aspects of it keeping it going. As they say..

Scienta Est Potentia

(knowledge is power)

'chichiki' wa nan darouka? sukoshi wakarinikui ...

chichiki no koto wa eigo de setsumei shte kudasai

hai! , gomen nasai...... totemo wakari-nikui

chichiki=chishiki :( (knowledge. information etc)

watukashi wa chotto skyline chichiki desu

i/myself is a little skyline knowledge!

the sentence structure isnt the best hey

watashi wa meruborne umare desu

Lauren

Oregato!!

totemo kawaii! :D

watashi wa meruborne umare desu

mmm, its umaremashita (was born) ... :(

and to say "i know a little bit about skylines" would be:

skairain no koto ga sukoshi shitteimasu.

what you said was more like "I am a little bit skyline knowledge" hehe

hope that helps :D

damn :)

yeah i didnt know the exact sentence structuring for the knowledge part so i just created my own :D

school will soon help me out as im studying japanese very heavily for the next couple of months to prepare me for when i move to japan late this year.

i have a nice vocabulary however need to learn the different sentencing techniques, noun to noun wa etc etc

:)

Sorry, can't say this in real japanese so I'll use engrish:

In the battle heat were are defeating lack of knowledge thru the imposition of the FAQ section:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/fo...p?s=&forumid=57

Your additions to the battle are appreciated.

i can say i have around 100 or so magazines in my room which i constantly read over and over and learn stuff that way.. i started get interested in cars in year 12 and from then on it was cars cars cars.. probably why i didnt do too well.. i read a lot of technical stuff on forums no matter what its to do with.. doing stuff/mods to your own car helps the most also helping mates with their cars goes along way.. japanese = jibberish to me.. still i bought a couple of option magz... for the pics haha :D

all my knowledge (which probably isnt that much) has either been learnt by huge amounts of research on skylines and cars in general or my dad, he's no mechanic but know's his shit when it comes to cars and if he doesnt my best friends dad is an A grade mechanic who loves working on nething with an engine and is always happy to help me out when i have problems. A big thanx to everyone here that are willing to share there knowledge.

Cheers

John

i started get interested in cars in year 12 and from then on it was cars cars cars.. probably why i didnt do too well..

lol thats why im limiting my involvement with cars this year. with the way my grades are going, and the school that i go to (selective), i know im going to be living in japan within half a decade for sure. maybe ill drop by to the forum every now and then when im livin it up in osaka and say:

nihon kara oisatsu (greetings from japan!) :D

Hey Badman:

Itsu Nihon ni ikitai? Nihon de sumu wa basho ga kimatta? Osaka to Kobe o sugoi osusumeru! Sore wa boku no ikken dake... demo zettai Nihon wa dokodemo ii yo!

I think most experince from cars comes from the "hands on" approach, just get out there and do it... and cry about your financial position later!

Hey Stang:

Thats one thing I`ve been meaning to check out. How much do people pay for Option/Option2 in Oz? I can pick em up for 500yen (A$6.17) a piece, theyre heavy bastards, so freight is gonna be a factor, but I think I could get out of it for $15-20(??) a copy...

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
