Hi Guys

I was talking to the software developer about the timing for the finished product this week (not confirmed yet, but latest should be September) and he mentioned that he is able show the fuel consumption in either km's/litre or litre's/100km's.

From what I see the norm is to talk about L/100km's. He is able to convert the fuel economy (or lack of it) screen to read this way.

I would think this is a great upgrade in the english conversion but I just need to know if anyone would not be happy with this change in showing the fuel usage?

Let me know your thoughts?

Cheers

Andy

I don't mind in L/100KM as that's the convention used here in Australia.

In asian countries like Japan where the car come from, consumption is often measured in km/l to show how much km you get from each ltr you put in the tank... the mindset there is the bigger the number on screen, the better it is.

Just going to bump this up because it is of interest to many...

Will there be any progress on the Sat Nav map side, as per the M35 info thread? If I understand it correctly, they can potentially do something for the DVD version but not the older CD version?

I theory, yes it can be done but there will be quite a few obsticles to be overcome before it would be available.

The english conversion of all the non GPS screens is due September and depending on the response to this first release the GPS conversion may be worked on as well.

It all comes down to the comercial decision of the time and effort v's the return in sales.

I am speaking on behalf of the guys in Russia who are doing the converting and this is what they have indicated so far.

Cheers

Andy

I don't think we will loose her dulcet tones........ what are you doing that she talks to you? LOL.

The only time she talks to me is when i try to run out of fuel i the quest to fill up on Tuesday.

    • I'm actually not sure - I think it was "Stealth Performance" (It really is near impossible to find a FEMALE 1/8BSPT to 1/8NPT male at ALL) but having the thing leveraged on a 90 degree angle on a small aluminium fitting is not too smart. Also in not too smart, I've drilled out the center of the broken fitting so there's maybe 0.00001mm of thread to bite into, so yeah. I may have to get it drilled/tapped/plugged entirely. Given I could conceivably tap a thread/adapter/pressure line in any point in the oil system I suppose it's feasible to run a line to the Nissan Sensor to keep the dash working. Do these exist in AN fittings and the like? Like an AN fitting that has a NPT (or other?) thread as well for putting a sensor in?
    • I would agree.  There will be an amount of boost you could run safely with an otherwise factory system, but it would be low enough to not be worth the cost.  And if you are reliving your 20s, you know a 'little bit' was never enough. Personally, if I didn't want to spend the money, then stick with NA bolt-ons, and maybe a tune.
    • Fuark, at least the motor survived. What brand was the fitting that snapped?
    • Wrong question. There's no point in spending the rather large sum of cash and effort to add turbo, without taking it to the "sensible" limit of the motor itself. If you have to upgrade injectors, etc, then so be it. That is a tiny fraction of what it will cost you to turbo it.
