mmmm...i guess its still too early to say if Lewis is better or not, he did have a clean track most of the time and wasn't under pressure. Hope to see him under pressure in the coming up rounds. I think I'll retract the statement about kimmi, he went from the back to the front of the grid, so well done to him. But the two mistakes was somewhat shocking to see. Massa, well....i don't know what happened.

Funniest quote would have to be DC last year when he said something along the lines of (on team radio whilst driving) "The brakes are shit, the tires are shit, and it doesn't turn, but apart from that I'm having a great time"

i'm sure there's a lot of choice things said over team radio that we're not privvy to. lol

Heikki quaifying 3rd with 4 more laps juice than the guys around him was very impressive

As was Kubica qualifying 2nd despite going off the track during the lap... Would have been a storming lap time had he not gone off.

I think we can put kimis f*ckups down to 2 parts of the race. getting held up by rubens for so long would have seen his blood pressure rising a bit, and then after cutting some awesomly fast laps heiki pulls out of the pits right in front of him and then makes life very difficult. kimi obviously just f*cked it up but heiki was being a good little rear gunner for louise.

wtf was with channel 10 they didn't show the after-race thing with the 3 top drivers?

Channel 10 shoud lbe shot for their coverage. I was on the couch watching it Sunday morning and could hear the cars out the back of my palce racing...meanwhile Cgannel 10 was showing lame stories on god knows. Then every now and then they would cut to presenter and you would see GT cars etc racing in background.... only for the commentator to say we will be back with Carrera Cup shortly.

Thumbs down Channel 10...suppport the support classes. And go blood nut skin and hair in 38 deg sun :nyaanyaa:

lol, I staged my own GP yesterday. bought some hotdogs, bought some fosters! the only thing missing really was the sunburn. I did spare a thought for you in the heat big buddy. it must have been nasty.

He robbed himself (he accidently hit the pit speed limiter going down the main straight hence why Alonso passed him back)

i meant with the timing of the saftey car due to Timo's MASSIVE accident. It threw Heikis pit stop stratagy out because he was due to pit in the next couple of laps but instead had to trail the safety car around and lose track position

him hitting the pitlane limiter was his own stupidity

oh, and my boy kubica went bloody no where. not sure what the story was there. good thing I didn't put any money on the little bugger. I mean in a race that only saw 7 cars finish nearly half the finishers got a podium!

Did you charge ridiculous prices for your hotdogs too? :(

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
