No, bretts right...a glance at carsales will tell you that. Note he said stock. 10-15 is average for a 32 gtr. 33s are between 18-21 these days, I got mine for 25188 2 years ago. Depreciation is a bitch isn't it?

Yes I did note that he said stock and in most cases, stock 32 gtr's are actually worth more!

$10.5k is a low price for a 32gtr and a glance at carsales will show you there are none lower than that in victoria at the moment. 32gtr's have a large range in price from $10.5k to $50k for an AUS version...

What I also know is that there a number of rubbish gtr's (generally the same cheap ones we are talking about) that have been imported to Australia... i know this because I went and looked at a bunch when I originally wanted to buy one a few years back. I would never buy a 32gtr for $10 - $15k unless I was planning a rebuild etc because otherwise you are just buying an expensive headache rather than a cheap sports car... I can't count the amount of horror stories I have heard

yeh thats why i bought mine was planning on rebuilding so worked out $26 grand all up... and i have a forged brand new engine with no limits so im happy :D

Yeah that makes sense. Spent gtr's are a dime a dozen and thats why there are so many cheap ones. But if you havent got the cash they need to have spent on them you will end up with an expensive paperweight like so many people have.

When I was in japan I saw an R32gtr selling for $42kAUD sitting next to R34gtr for $40k. Clean ones cost money and are highly desirable in japan... the ones nobody wants go to auction.

wow 10.5k

does it come with wheels and engine?

i bought my first 33 gtst for 10.5

imad

How long ago did you buy it?

Also remember that not much is selling these days, especially turbo jap, all the new laws and the price of petrol have killed the market, if you want to get rid of your car in a hurry these days you have to sell it cheap or it could be on the market for months

so its your MR2 i always see scooting around..

i live in hallam and go through Dandenong all the time during the week..

You couldn't mistake any other MR2 for mine lol. I'm normally in a blue one though, which is my workmate's.

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
