Gonna Make Some Eyelids

Anyone done this themselves?

Just looking for some tips on getting the moulding right etc

Doesn't seem like a hard job, and I'm rather familiar with fibreglass, but knowing me I'll stuff something vitally important

I'd be in on it too for making eyelids - heck i'd even donate my car for the day to take moulds!

all you need is a headlights nad turnsignal together and you can make it

id just use maybe two layers of the woven matt and cover hte lights with tape, then lay the layers on the light

once its done, you should be able to pull it off with the tape and trim

then sand, bondo, paint

maybe a days work

I'm thinking the slim set for my car at the minute, thought Grants does look really tough...

The only problem with mine is I need to remove them whenever the park light blows. They're only held on with double sided tape.

i have to pull the headlight, then the corner light

double sided tape here as well

never blown a globe( touch wood) but have had mine on and off lots of times(fmic and other reasons), it,s not a issue you just got to be gentle,if you use doublesided tape make sure it's good stuff or you will see your eyelids disapear over the roof.

Oddy I'm sure your blown away with the replies, but yeah +1 for S2 eyelids

Even though this is definately jumping the gun a bit - and I'm not sure what type of eyelids you guys want - I've always though of something like this for the stag =)
