who really cares. this thread from back in 2008, and was dug up by some noob, so i don't think the OP is going to care anymore.

as for what is better, the engine in the supra is superior in quality to that of the GTR (and you will find that anyone with any decent mechanical knowledge will agree, even on this forum). also in stock form the supra isn't far behind the GTR in a drag race.

lol 2j may be a better enginem but be f#*ked if I would drive a fat ugly supra. Esp since 99% of them on the streets are N/A and have been fast and the furious over done, making it the ricers 2nd weapom of choice behind hondas

A supra looks more sleek than an r34 gtr =\. But i do agree with the non turbo point. But twin turbos are in a different league.

still the same looking car. Not like a GTR and GTT where the supr model has phat guards and a stance like a BOSS. Supra make have a sleek look but GTR screams.....get out of my f**king way or i will destroy you....tough

ahahaha, and the interior looks like it's from the 1970s. they have the potential to look good, but they often end up looking like arse. a bit like a 33 4 door, LOL

just kidding, the 33 4 door doesn't have the potential to look good

Must...not....necrothread.....ahh, stuff it.

Supras look homo.

Therefore RBs win by default (unless you can find a manual Chaser).

What about the Aristo?

2J + rear seats + a boot?

I'll stick with my 20B, more factory power and torque then both of the formentioned... :whistling:

I didn't think they came in Manuel?

So therefore a Supra TT would be on par with an R34 GTR?

This means the Supra TT is better value for money... $25,000 Vs $45,000

Is this right?

Interesting that a R34 Gtr can be acquired for $45k back in 08. It must have been quite a steal at that price... either that or they haven't gone down in value over the past couple of years, in regard to all the other flagship cars from Japan.

I do like the look of the R34 Gtr's in general, although they do tend to appear fairly lean and tall for an all-round performance orientated car. How Nissan managed to make them handle the way they do in relation to their form deserves some accreditation. Perhaps the same goes for the R35 and all prior models.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
