Hey everyone, i'm thinking of buying a body kit for my s2 r33 gtst but can't decide which one. I kinda like the veilside bodykit are there any others around? if you were to buy a body kit which look will you go for?

I'm after something that will make the car look tuff..so to speak

Cheers

Veilside is nice, you just have to pick the right one and have a nice set of wheels.

But seriously tho, if you get a Veilside kit, you car has to modded pretty tuff to live up to its perfomance name, other wise its just rice IMO.

Nismo Factory bodykit can top off the car nicely.

Or get the Nismo Front lip for S2 GTS-T and R33 GTR side-skirts.

I think we (I'll do it one day, I promise) need to create a thread with all the different types of kits that are available for the 33 for people to reference instead of a whole heap of threads about what kit is the best, as obviously it's personal taste.

i've got a veilside kit, i used to like it, now i really don't like it, especially the front bar. probably going to change the front bar to do-luck when i get some cash.

but seriously, get what you think looks good, everyone has different taste

I've had some serious dramas with bodykits! Wasted so much money in the process, started with a 'Suborn' bar back in the day when i first got my car - stupid choice that was! Poorly made and cracked and wonky and looked shite, then went to the Veilside put on by Jetspeed - another stupid choice! The bar was so poorly made and didn't match up at all. Not only did it look bad, the quality was shocking and left and right weren't even the same dimensions :-p I used to like the look of the veilside but as said above you need a tuff car to pull it off.

So after a few years, I finally came to the greatest decision i've ever made!.....COMPLETE CUSTOM KIT! It's the only way, i recommend it to everybody if you have the time and cash and design ideas. You gotta know what you want and take it to someone that can make it work. Freddy from Topstage did my whole thing www.topstage.com.au

the best is the factory kit imho

your car will never look as good as the product promo photos you are looking at in japan

you wont be prepared to pay for the $$$ so youll just get cheap copies which wont line up, have gaps etc

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo :-D
    • Echo the awesome sentiment 👍 Definitely a car worth saving. Looking forward to seeing updates as well.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
