Thanks and also Khunjeng.

It isnt an "official" FQ400 but has virtually all of the goodies on it and makes more power than a stock FQ400. :(

Well it looks like you guys had a great day.

It was a blow that i had to work. But these things happen.

But it was good to see a good turn out and a few new Members..

Good 1 Ash.... :(

I hope to see you all at the SANDOWN TO SURF CRUISE

Sorry Max, I've given you your access today, i didn't have a spare moment late last week.

FYI - As the Membership form states and i did inform you, please allow 15 business days for processing.

So 4th Aug + 15 business = 26th Aug.

26th Aug would be 2 days from now

Thanks.

Ash

Woooo.

You and your 15 business days :(. I got the kit in the mail on Tuesday!

See you at the next event

Thanks and also Khunjeng.

yeah what happened to him? he was in front of me and just started popping like crazy.

Al, pics on the way

he took off his cam cover that morning cos his intercooler piping was hitting the fan when he gained boost so though would take it off to have more room. But he didnt align the timing thing properly and the timing is now all fktt so ye.... He got it towed home but the assh*les at racv charged him 300 just to tow to sunshine cos the BP was considered as the COUNTRY...... But ye had to stop in lorne i felt rat that we were crusing having fun and he was sitting in his car for 3 hours on side of road. But until then i had a good time... Was good time well worth joining sau vic looking forward to more club events =]

I'm kind of pissed about this... despite having signed up to SAU Vic on 4 August, I STILL haven't been given access to the Vic club events forum and couldn't get the details. :D

On the 18/8 I sent everyone in the club (incl you, I just checked) an email regarding the General Meeting and it was mentioned towards the end. We also spoke about it at the general meeting, which is a really good reason to turn up, esp if you don't have time to browse the forums etc.

They're on every 3rd Tuesday of the month, so next one is 16th September..

There's always a post in the Victorian general section a week/few days beforehand.

Bells Hotel in Sth Melb - dinner from 6pm onwards, meeting starts at 8pm.

If you need any further details etc just let me know.

    • Went to a drift practice day at a local circuit (held on the reserve parking area behind the grandstand) for the first time in about 15 years. Some kei cars were drifting as well, a not so surprising Suzuki Carry truck, and two 1st gen Daihatsu Copens that were converted to rear wheel drive(!) using Daihatsu Boon X4 transfer case, prop shaft and rear diff, obviously omitting the front driveshafts. They looked really fun to slide. I heard that they cost "about half" as much as a Nissan Silvia etc to run.  On the track 'Tech M' a local BMW tuning garage had a customer track day. Mainly recent models but there was one E36 which looked ancient among all the current models. It was cool watching the drifting and then turning around and seeing random people thrashing their M3/4s  central-circuit-drift-practice-2025-05-18-long-yt.mp4
    • I prefer it with those wheels (sacrilege?) 馃構 Here's a photo of a fully original one for reference. The price is $350K....
    • I would like to keep it around 15k but if I need more to make it reliable and not have to worry about the car breaking I can go more. It's my project car so I'm just trying g to figure out what needs to be in it i know basic things like turbo cams injectors I'm just unsure of the size and the specifics so I'm spending alot of time on Google and its mostly rb25 and rb26 not alot on neo
    • This. They would need some tricky maneouvering to keep the income out of the country (the US). Which isn't helpful if that's where you want the income to end up.
