ABS, how to differentiate ?

Look in the top right corner of your engine bay... if you have ABS you should be able to see a block approx 150 x 120 x 80mm (guessing) which is black plastic and silver metal, and has 1/4" lines going to it.

or just brake hard and if it locks up, u dont have it

when you turn on the ignition and you have ABS there will be an

ABS or Anti-lock warning light.

how come ive got ABS fuses and all but my car locks up if i brake really hard!

nismoman18, the ABS can let the wheels lock up slightly when it kicks in, or do you mean they stay locked up for more than a moment?

as Roy said, the easiest way to tell is to pop the hood, look in the upper right corner of the engine bay, there'll be a greyish rectangular block with lines going off somewhere.....

you can't do a burnout properly if you have ABS i'm told....or at

least i haven't succeeded at doing so....

I'll agree with the box under the bonnet, but once on my private road I can assure you an ABS car can do a burnout
