Hi people, I was just wondering if anyone had any idea on how many R34 GTR Vspec2's are actually in Australia.

And while i'm posting could anyone tell me how much power an AUTOMATIC gear box out of an R34 GTT can handle.

thanks for any replies.

I think there was about 7301 V Specs made in production.

About 45 V-Spec II N1's were made and just under 300 V-Spec II Nur's were made.

The cars will be come classics but I don't think for some time. Or you could call it a Collectors Item as some models we very limited.

If you can get a V-Spec II N1 that would be a awesome! If not a V-Spec II Nur, cuz its based on the N1 but with a few extra options and came in one of the best colours, Millenium Jade.

Hiya,

Just as a BMW M3 cannot in my opinion be a classic, the M3 CSL can be (over time).

Similarly, I cannot see my GTR as a classic, but the limited run of 45X N1s can.

The N1 was stripped of ABS, Air, boot carpet, audio equipment & rear wiper. Of the 45 made, 12 were taken by Nismo to "Taikyu Racing" which leaves 33. The limited run of M3 CSLs were also stripped for racing (if the owners wanted to use them for this purpose).

The V-Spec II was not stripped for racing. Nissan added larger rear rotors, black interior, C/F bonnet with NACA Duct, Iridium internal trim, harder susp'n than even the previous V-Spec, aluminium pedals.

The 20 Z-Tunes in my opinion will become classics too. Such a potent R34 & so few.

The V-Spec II Nur? I'm really not sure about that...

The M-Spec Nur? I'm leaning towards a No due to its extra weight. But hey, I've been wrong before!!!

Cheers, T

Ah WTF! LOL! :)

Thats awesome, nice Nismo Rims and bodykit too. Just how I would have pictured it.

With a carbon fibre bonnet and no A/C, no sound system, no rear wiper and no rear carpet mats, a full race/street car set up.

So you are in Melbourne right... :bunny:

How about an apperance to car meet ehay... :P

;)

I'm in Adelaide, that's number three for Oz, believe it or not, and I'm very glad my agent accidentally put it on the car before I'd finished paying for it! If I had bought it on Friday for the same price, it would've been about $28,000 more expensive than what I paid...

There are two others, both of which have done track and targa work, and are modified accordingly. One of these has been recently been sold to a racer in Adelaide, ironically enough. We're quite well represented in the N1s-per-capita stakes I'd say :bunny:

I'm actually planning to start an N1 register website to keep track of the ones that were built, as a little side project.

    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
