Ohhhhh, nice. Brilliant. R34GTR rims and all. That's awesome. Pity boot glass has been replaced with non-UV cut glass. Pity is series 1. But it's got an RB26 and a strong driveline... bring on the 300+AWKW :spank:

Congrats ,very nice...excellent body kit and I WANT YOUR MIRRORS!!!! I love how they look, very agressive front .Is the fmic pipping painted yellow?Welcome to the stag world... :spank:

wll done pal smart look'in 260 hope you get lot's of enjoyment out of it, and by the way nothing at all wrong with s1's a lot of people prefer the look of s1's over s2's

have fun.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The last thing I needed was someone saying my new ride looked like crap. :whoops:

RBPOWA

Abflug front bar? I honestly have no idea what the kit is. The rear window is tinted, but I think its an aftermarket tint.

Yes I love the mirrors , I've removed this today as its going to compliance sometime next week.

Yeah I think the no rails look is best for the 260

I had to choice of a series 2, but chose the series one. Just something about it, l find it more of an aggressive look.

The car came with an N1 engine and N1 turbo's. A really nice remote oil cooler, HKS exhaust, HKS cams and cam gears, Tien shocks, HKS Pods, HKS dump pipes - I think whoever owned it in Japan really liked HKS :)

Just about everything has been removed today for complaince. Once thats done and its rego'd, I've got a set of gold DBA slotted and crossdrilled disks to go on it and a bunch of other stuff I've had sitting in the garage waiting for its arrival. Cant wait to finally have it on the road.

Cheers.

Got the 260RS in the workshop ATM. Finally rego'd and road legal. Now the fun begins :D

Had a set of Tomei cams and cam gears installed yesterday. Also sprayed the engine with black wrinkle paint. Today a set of gold DBA slotted and cross drilled discs will go on (will take a pic when its completed) then the power FC and a bunch of other stuff.

Will post work as its done, sort of a build archive for anyone who's interested.

Cheers.

Edit: oops there's also a new water pump and radiator, though you can just see the new water pump in the pic.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
