Hey guys i just brought my first r32 gts-t i was wondering which turbo would be my best choice. it already has a gt35r on it an its a laggy as f*k it starts to make boost around 4300 an full boost around 4600.car has wolf3d, larger unkown injectors sard fuel reg.custom turbo manifold with external gate etc etc. After around 200-230kw.what would be an ideal turbo that makes boost around 3000? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Have you driven a car with that much? That turbo is rated for 300+ kws or so... that's a big drop down!

I have a VG30 turbo lieing around (slightly better then an RB25 turbo)... you could highflow it for around 220 - 230kws...

NYTSKY mate i was thinking along the lines of a gt30 when do they start to make boost?a lot of people on here seem to be using hks GT 2530. Mlr mate with the cam gears what sort of rpm do u think this would lower the boost range by? thanks

Not sure mate, I'm looking into this as I'm having the same thing going on with mine, rb25 with gt35, tuner recons it will drop between 250 to 500 rpm.

Not doing this though till next year when its going in for a rebuild so no answer on this for a while from me, sorry.

I'm sure someone on here could give you a definitive answer.

Yeah i will do some searches on that an thanks man.

Unbiased opinion.

GT3076R would be good choice

But if it was me I could not go past the Billet S56-GT3 with .63 A/R hot side.

The S56-GT3 specs are pretty dam good

The S56 compressor wheel has a 56mm inducer and 80mm Major + (ETT).

Turbine has an exducer of 56.6mm and a major of 65mm and is made of 713C Inconel

    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
