Yeah the R3C is savage ( and has seen off half a dozen gearboxes ) but I've done about 40k kms in a few years and am impressed with its durability. For example: the other day I limiter launched twice in second thinking I was in Rwd but was in max 4wd . I reckon that would be enough to fry most clutches. I do agree the R3C isn't the right clutch for us, but in the right application ( not sure what that is ) I reckon it would be awesome.

Eagle rods

Cp pistons

Tomei type b cams

Tomei gears

Mild head porting

Exh manifolds ported

Rotomaster 2860-5

2200cc injectors

120mm intercooler

Adaptronic ecu

Lc-1 wideband

Tomei dumps

Jim berry full Monty clutch

Apexi front pipe

100 cell cat

3.5" exh to x force cannon

B/c valve springs

Mac valve controlling boost via ecu

Best run of 360. On low but left it fat at 350 ish 19 psi

426 kw on 26 psi both united e85

Interestingly was 415 and we cracked airbox (std) and jumped to 426 so I will mod it. Another tuner said couldn't crack 400 with pump (walbro e85) and airbox or that I couldn't go over 24 psi on -5 guess he was wrong

32 airbox always has been an issue. 33 on much better design, dual feed etc.

Good solid result. Be interested to see you go hit the 1/4! Too many '400rwkw -5' GTRs around at the moment that are failing to hit even 124mph let alone the 128-130 they should be, at least half a dozen now :/

10s gonna be EASY for you though me thinks, no fudge with your dessert!

I'm keeping the airbox but will modify the lower half and sheild the area where the snorkel was, I'm really concerned about traction even with semis although a bit hard she looses traction in 3rd gear on high boost, is this common with 400 plus Gtr ? Thanks for positive comments guys and thanks to jez for a job well done. I had a few issues he fixed , a restrictive tee piece, and failing alternator which actually makes a huge difference to tuning. Again jez is best, the flames are less common now but I'm glad I got a vid of it lol

It's really too bad my old Autronic SMC can't do flex fuel. I'm going to run a similar set up to Scott's with bigger cams. Change of fuel pump (and e85'n my system) would see 400's. So tempting but may have to wait for the next minor round of upgrades.

Great result there Scott! Really has me stoked for my build that will be similar -5 based set up.

It was good experience all said and done and jez is very patient although his initial words of he likes difficult cars came back to haunt with this puppy lol, jez do u rekon leave box for street and switch to pods at track? Wish I bought them with me for testing bugger.

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
