What i believe his saying is his holding his foot flat to the floor while the gearbox changes from first to second to third.

Really no different to reving out a manual almost to its limiter then doing a perfect gear change(remember its auto)

He'll only have problems if his boost is spiking which may cause it to hit the limiter.

But yeh, total dick for speeding through stop signs, thats just dumb dude.

1. a stop sign means stop suprisingly not this "flatstick" you talk about.

2. your probably bogging and slowing your car down from a stand still instead of making it go faster by doing this "flatstick"

3. let your car "flatstick" you to see if its doing any damage.

4. WTF is "flatstick"?

I drive an NA

It screams at high RPM

I love the sound

That is no excuse to "flat stick" it everywhere. Do you even let it warm up?? To be honest... I hate servicing Skylines that arent looked after properly. Like yours.

Btw, what the common speed you "flat stick" it to? 120kms? 130kms?

f**k u all. bunch of forum faggots. go f*k urselves, QQ.

if you dont like the forum then leave...

ppl on here r gonna tell it as they see it... and believe me when i say that what we see is a loser...

i think we can all agree with Skyln... GTFO dumbass

i do it in my skyline r33 all the time... apparantly my friend said its bad for my car.. but i prety mch flat-stick everytime i go past a stop sign..

*its because my car exhaust is rly loud and the only way to make it sound less loud is to flat stick.. thats jus how i drive . lol. its hard to explain.

haha nah, sounds better thats all.. instead of the droning noise from keeping it @ a certain speed..

Flat sticking makes it go- vrooom.. hard to explain ?

i dont think you even know what your talking about, 1st post its to make it quite next its to go vroom.

and indeed this thread does deliver. can someone tell me what qq is? is it as technical as flat sticking

    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
