I don't know why people even bother with them? If they can bullshit you with reasons why they can't insure you, what makes you think its going to be even better with a claim?

I know Wayne got f**ked when someone reversed into him. They ruined the side indicators on the quarter panels then when his headlight got moisture in it they blamed it on age, even though the other side was fine nor was it leaking water into it before the accident. So they refused to fix it. Bullshit.

good old insurance, I moved closer to town (the dirty south = ghetto ) and it doubled the monthly cost. had to nego to get it lowered to only 20.00 a month more then aldinga beach

and value has fallen by 600 bucks without warning. but agreed value is still really high, 29,400. (shannons)

end rant. :)

time to move again...lol

someone needs to create an insurance company that does something along the lines of e.g. you only do 5,000kms a year on your car so your insurance only costs xx amount. As oposed to you have to pay a full premium every year.. it's crazy there is only a really small amount of insurance companies to insure people with imports. Surely there's plenty of people who only use their cars as weekenders (if that!) yet we still have to pay the same. They do it for nana cars so why not ours..?

you will find that shannons does insure you on your circumstances....ie if your car is a weekender then your insurance premium isnt that high....but i think that means your not covered from monday - friday....so its a big risk you take....but if you only drive it on sat and sun then shouldnt be a problem.....

yeah we do have it set up like that with shannons.. a weekender and a daily.. we thought it'd reduce it but it really didn't.. the weekender car literally does no more than 5,000 kms a yr.. it should be based on how many kms you drive it as aposed to being a 'weekender' that gets done all day sat/sun .. if that makes sense!

i cannot remember who the insurance company was that had their Ad on the tv.....in regards to pay as you go or something like that.....i didnt look much into it however but it might pay for you to look a bit into that Sarah :P

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
