I went 4 weeks without mine, then had further issues after that which restricted me from driving it properly...then went without it for another week, then all good for 3 or so weeks, then more issues for a week and a half, and here we are today. Hopefully my last issue was melted cat internals lol....she should be fine ;)

Enjoy the world of car modifications....it's all worth it though mate, it really is.

I no what it is like to own a modified car I have been doing it for 20 years I have a 10 second Torana parked behind it that I can't get out because the Skyline is in bits.I was not going to pull it apart but I expected the turbo to be here next day that was a week ago.I am also worried that I will need more parts not 100% sure that dump pipe will fit

Since I got no idea if Stao is gonna chuck these up or not, here's the dyno charts from my tune this arvo. I don't get a torque chart tho

One shows power+boost, one shows power+AFR. They've been overlayed onto the graph from my first tune when I was having boost issues. The RED line is from today (though I dare say that will be obvious lol)

Big thanks again to Stao and his great work, another happy customer here :P

I would like to say that these above dyno plots incorrectly represent the power delivery of this turbo.

If my exhaust system was optimal, and NOT running a heap of shit cat, the response would be much better ;) Just like to point out that now I have a very free-flowing cat, this thing delivers power like a farking rocket.

NOTE: do not expect to get away with not running GOOD tyres. lol.

Again thanks to Stao, loving my car.

Thanks for the feedback.

We are in the process of designing few new machined comp wheels. Will have a new series of Ceramic BB turbos with machined comp wheel soon.

Very impressive result stao, congrats.

Can you try and post one for 1JZ TT?

What is the rpm spread of where it hits peak boost to where the power run stops? Looks very nice as a graph, but lack of rpm means it could be from 3.5-5.5 or 4-8

Thats all the information sent by the customer. Its a manual stock 1JZ VVTi Gear box. So not sure if KM/28 * 100 rule applies. If so that would be 20psi by 3700RPM which is similar to the OP6 high flow. Thats the basic high flow, I would expect it to be pretty responsive.

Thanks for another member sending in his footage with an ATR43G3 in .82 turbine running Vipec ECU.

298rwkws with VCT always off and 285rwkws with always VCT on. Not sure how that ECU system worked.

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone else has had trouble with an ATR43 not fitting? I bought an ATR43G2 awhile ago and it is currently with my tuner getting installed, but we have hit a bit of a problem in that the turbo does not fit with the cooler piping or stock intake. So I have to get completely custom cooler piping and intake piping made up. I had been planning on doing this in the future so I'm not too stressed about it, just that it makes the installation a hell of a lot more expensive and longer.

Anyone else have similar issues?

Cheers,

Martin.

To fit the standard cooler piping you need to get a 2" 90 deg silicone bend. Then put a small 2 inch metal pipe inside one side and clamp the metal in the 90 deg bend and then the original pipe rubber over the top in three layers.

metal/silicon/rubber

There is a photo of this somewhere around I think.

You will need to make up a new intake pipe, there is a example a few pages back

its probably something that needs to be made clearer as al the turbo s require custom fab work to some degree.

hey Stao i did one of these the other week for Micheal, worked much better than the atp highflow so congrats. I have another customer getting one done there atm but you accidentley did it to your 300rwkw spec unit not the 250rwkw we needed, has he got in contact? as the unit may be too laggy and will certainly kill the auto.

Mine didnt but I suppose mine was different because it uses the standard nissan compressor cover.

On a side note, I finally got my car out to some remote twisties and had some fun. The turbo was excellent, pulled hard out of corners and gives a real straight line rush that doesnt feel to slow. On the street if you crawl around corner or roundabout it will experience some lag to get moving but if you are already going nicely around a corner the turbo is straight onto boost and pulls away nicely.

Very happy thanks again Tao!

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
