Thanks guys pay a mate to do it? prob cheaper than shipping lol. a quote my mate got was like 1000 from SA for a car, and like 600 from melbourne. Punk72
get a friend or do it your self, cost a fortune and there is no way i would trust some shipping guy that probably gets paid stuff all and drives a shitty HQ ute to drive my car. I had a blast flying over and picking my car up and sailing back. Make time and do it your self Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/280409-transporting-a-car-from-melbourne/#findComment-4731043 Share on other sites
SSHatch
Just dont take the cruise seats option on the boat... That was the worst two nights of my life when I went over and back to pick up the GTR... BIG MACCA
I would recommened to go over your self. I went over the other week to get my GTR and it was great fun. Went Sat afro and on the boat that night. I had a cabin on the boat which was great. I was chatting to a father and son from Lindisfarne who went to melbourne to buy a car. It only cost me about $485 $365 for car and cabin and $120 for Airfare but sure you can get it cheaper. Also at least you know the car is being looked after.
