Sooo much fun!

Thanks to all for the hard work setting up and running the day..excellent job.

The only problem was it took too long to work out how to drive... with all the excitement/anticipation/adrenaline i completley forgot everything I ever knew (or at least, suspected) about important car controlly facts, like:

- understeer can't be cured with more throttle.

- car won't turn in while accelerating in 1st/2nd.

- foot off gas equals weight transfer onto front equals car go where fronts pointing.

- you can't do tight stuff without a handbrake. (actually I never new this one, but i got it now. My handbrakes a bit tired and rolly, mind)

just gotta work this stuff out the night BEFORE, not the night after.

J.

Ian - Fantastic stuff! Thanks for the great shots of my my Great White Whale (hehe).

Are you going to be doing the Thursday run? Can I get you to bring GD2ILA photos on a USB or SD if you are?

Again - thanks a lot.

Yes on the Thumbdrive, no on this week as i'm heading to Canberra on the Saturday so i'm saving the money/fuel but I should be down next week.

Doof: Hotmail account or different email for the desktop pics?

lol, damn these boats and their horrid ability to tame the high seas!

Something I learnt is that I need a dif, and I have to tighten up my handbrake something savage... It didn't do a damn thing!

I also need these things, VLSD is of teh ghey and last time I checked my hand brake shoes they had bugger all meat left (like so little I probably shouldn't have been using it at all on Saturday :D )

Group buy on Cusco 1.5 way and Project Mu drift shoes? ;)

hahah spot on. its hard to think while everything is going on! skidpans really show up understeeritis. You were killing it by afternoon but I saw some hge slides from the clubby on the tight track in the morning.

I actually had my front suspension on the softest setting to let it roll to get the weight transfer since we were at such low speeds. Of course then again my springs are very hard by street standards 8/10.

Like Doof said, big difference between stock suspension and aftermarket coilovers.

I just couldn't give evil weevil the satisfaction of a MXfail winning a Skylines Australia competition :D

Thats why I didnt turn up, give you a chance.

(no, I was working :D )

lol, at the difference in body roll :D

alot of different factors, looks of your photo you are about to straighten up but still got lock, on power, Matt is just gone into a turn with more speed, maybe a bit under brakes with ALOT of weight transfer!

what else have you done with yours doof? looks good!

and matt, hurry up and buy some suspension mods :D

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
