A topic we hear all too often, SoSK's white R33GTST S1.5 M Spec was stolen last night from his girl friend's house in Taren Point. Rego is GO33GO in white on black NSW plates with an SAU sticker under the rear number plate, it has silver Enkie alloys, red Recoaro front seats, DBA 5000 series front rotors with red hats, yellow Selbys Swaybars are visible, windows are not tinted and there is a SuperLap sticker on the RHS rear window. That's pretty much what you can see, there is obviously a lot of stuff underneath but the above is enough to identify it externally.

All help appreciated, I spent lot of hours on this car that insurance isn't going to come close to covering.

Cheers

Gary

sorry to hear that.

was it before or after this post? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4830423

Was driving in front of GO-33-GO today on South Dowling"

Dunc - After, sadly... that was me on the way home yesterday

Thanks guys

One thing to note if the f**ks strip it, the red recaros are on BRIDE rails. This means that they have dodgy alloy spacer plates to fit the base of the recaros.

Wheels are Enkei RP-F1s.

As Dad said, this car has had more hours than insurance can cover.

There's a lot of little identifiable things in the car.

Has a greddy style plenum, GTR cooler (black) non chopped front bar... looks fairly standard.

See it, call me 0418432857

The car is not the biggest issue, the camera gear in the boot is.....

Matt

I am seriously sorry to hear this mate, been reading a fair few of these. I think we should use these occurances as a message to all Skyline owners out there to be warned that our cars are now a targeted favourite for theives. I would hate to hear of anymore stolen cars and people ending up like this poor guy. Unfortunately this is now a nuisance for us but we can't leave our cars anywhere where we cant see them. And if you have been one of those people who have been pondering installing or upgrading there security systems (my hand is up) - get it done ASAP. Or you could....

This is getting ridiculous.. I'm waiting for our insurance to start to skyrocket cause of these recent thefts..

I wonder if this is enough incentive for the police to organise some kind of task force for finding these people.. I wonder if its the same group of people.

I'll keep a look out and if i find any parts with anythin you mentioned ill be sure to follow them and get in contact asap.

Oh Gary this is terrible news.

Very sorry to hear.

Hope something turns up.

I thought i went abit overboard with my cars security, but reading all these stolen threads makes me think otherwise.

wow, i'm read so many of these over the past few weeks. hope the car is found safe and sound, and the cops catch these crooks. heard they released a new number plate recognition system. best of luck! keep us updated.

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
